"Great location a short distance from the beach, shops, and restaurants. The house was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a little backyard that made it easy to let our dog out. We appreciated the decor and thoughtful touches throughout the home (floor length mirror, lots of hooks for hanging towels, etc). My husband especially loved the Blackstone grill! The host (Mike) was awesome and made sure that we had everything we needed for a beach day before our arrival (beach towels, chairs). VRBO...

"We loved our recent stay at the Silver Palms Cottage. The property was exactly as pictured and described. It was located in the more residential area of Oak Island which was fine with us, we enjoyed the quiet away from the tourists. However, it was a short ride to the beach (10 min). "Great place to stay at and we had a group of us come down and stay there for a golf tournament! We actually stayed in the house that was across from it last year (the orange one) and it has the exact same layout and we loved them both so much we wanted to rent again. It’s so nice /unique to have king beds in most of the rooms and bathrooms attached for all the rooms and so it is great. The pool is wonderful and kitchen is fully stocked.
