"It seems in the past it might used to the be good, looking at the infra. We arrived and there was no one at the check in - it was closed. Thee was a nunber to be called, but no one answered. Finally, I found an on-site worker who knew someone ( not the person at the sign ) that could help me. A very nice old lady who did hsr best but could barely find the key. Finally, having found the key, we went to the room. Besides the bed, that was nice, everything else was serioulsy dirty, I mean, DIRTY....

"We had an absolutely wonderful time! We loved the space, especially the big deck for stargazing and the creek for splashing around. There was AC throughout the house which made the hot days easy. This place is a total gem and only 12 minutes from town and the river! The only thing we would change for our next visit is that we would bring an extra air mattress as some of the fold out couches weren’t super comfortable. "We came in Fall for a quick getaway to explore the area. The Great Outpost was indeed, great!Our host were welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed and more, including the hot tub. "I was looking for a cozy getaway for my December birthday and this could not have been better. We were looking for a cozy, restful weekend away and it was perfect. The couches and beds were incredibly comfortable, and perfect for sleeping in and slow, relaxing days of reading, streaming and movies, and games and puzzles. We took our little doggies on walks around the neighborhood and enjoyed the Main Street food (the pizza!!) coffee, and general store just minutes away. We prepared 4 meals in...

"We were most impressed with the kitchen amenities. There were plenty of cookware, utensils and drinkware. Anything we needed was available. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and had lots of extra bedding available which was very much appreciated since we came in January. The house is very spacious with great insulation so the noise level was not an issue for those sleeping while others were still awake. The host is super responsive and helpful! This has been the BEST rental experience we have...
