"The room is well renovated and everything works, mainly the shower. The breakfast is excelent, but expensive. There are some work in progress on the square in front of the reception, with the street interrupted, so the taxis and ubers sometimes don’t come to the right place. But it is a good location anyway to walk to the nice city centre of the (former) “steel city”, already converted to pedestrian streets. There was a fire alarm once in an ungodly hour, with everybody using the stairs to go...

"I paid over £200 for one night here. The experience was very poor. I chose it because the hotel is centrally located and has a decent pool. At check-in the receptionist was more interested in talking to her friend than in her customer. The room was clean, but very averagely furnished. Ridiculously, if you chose to use the bath, there is no soap or shampoo within reach (see photo). The dispensers are fixed to the inside shower wall, so you’d have to get out of the bath for soap. "The hotel is looking a bit tired and in need of an update.
The room was fine...no safe, furniture a bit tatty and some black mould around the bath/shower.
Only 1 dressing robe and slippers in the room, although booked as a couple.
Room service was a bit random. The sandwiche that arrived was not great, with a tired piece of lettuce, 2 small tomatoes and some tortilla chips.
Breakfast was again fine but nothing to write home about. The hot food had the air of being put out for the opening...

"Rooms were quite big, the beds were comfy pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Quite disappointed that they only had one working elevator the first day then the second day both elevators were out of service, it’s not too bad if your room is on the first few floors but ours were on floor 9 so carrying your stuff up and down those stairs were horrible. Our second room had a blocked sink so my mates staying in that room had to use my room for washing their hands etc. Monday morning early hours today...
