The Madison Seaside Cottage, presented by TripRentals, exemplifies one of the best things about vacation rentals. You get to experience and enjoy the beauty, style, and taste of someone else's home! When you stay in this home, you'll be in the home of a professional interior designer. The influences of international travel and a thoughtful approach to renovating this historical orchard home resulted in a property so unique and special that it was featured in WestSound Magazine. Every little detail of this home has been carefully evaluated. From the floors to the ceiling, the furniture to the finishes, the appliances to the fixtures, the artwork to the lighting, it is all quite remarkably done. Please read on for more details on the property and its design.
The Property: The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all part of one large space. Vaulted ceilings with large beams combine with beautiful furniture to make this space very inviting and comforting. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, and features a beautiful new stainless steel gas range and oven. The vaulted ceilings continue throughout the home, including the hallway, both bedrooms, even the bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed and large window. Bedroom 2 has Queen bed and a skylight. The primary bathroom includes a beautiful large freestanding bathtub while the secondary bathroom is a half bathroom that also includes laundry. Within bedroom 2, you''ll find a 32 inch Smart HDTV for streaming your favorite TV shows or movies (the home does not have cable or satellite). The smart TV is on a sturdy wheeled cart that allows you to move the TV to whatever spot best suits your needs.
The Renovations & Interior Design: In 2021, most of the home was rebuilt from the studs out. Old flooring, wall paneling, a false ceiling, appliances, cabinets, and much more was carefully removed, reclaimed, and reused by others within the area. Norwegian White Oak Hardwood Floors were installed, along with a vintage barnwood beam. Custom Finnish fabric shades & drapes adorn the new window and a skylight brightens up the second bedroom. The home's new walls are a combination of shiplap, brick, Farrow & Ball paint, glazed tile from Sausalito, and a touch of Martinique wallpaper in the bathroom. Brass knobs, pulls, and pendant lighting in the kitchen complement the English deVol faucet. These are just a few examples of the many features you'll enjoy when you stay at this home.
Location: The property is located just 2 and a half blocks from Eagle Harbor, marinas, aquatic sports centers, docks, and Waterfront Park. The waterfront is a pleasant stroll through town of about 10 minutes or less. Along the way and you'll pass a good number of shops, restaurants and cafes. The ferry dock is only about a 15 minute walk or a 3 minute drive, giving you direct access into the heart of Seattle.
Arrival, Access, and Parking: Once you book, we're here to support you. We provide you with arrival instructions and answers to any specific questions you might have. Accessing this property is easy even for those who have trouble with stairs. Out front, there are only 4 steps to the covered porch and front door. Out back, a ramp brings you within just a few inches of the door. Once you're inside, everything is on one level. Private and complimentary outdoor parking is available for up to two vehicles. Please note, the garage shown in photos is not available for guest use.

** Disclosures/Disclaimers: ** Pets and Allergies. This home is not pet friendly. Guests are not allowed to bring pets. However, this home is also not going to be free from pet allergens or pet hair. The homeowner has a dog, and the disabled are able to bring their service animals. The home is thoroughly cleaned before and after any rental period. Special processes and procedures are taken to prevent or remove pet hair from furniture and linens. For example, linens that are put out for rental periods are sanitized and laundered then kept in sealed plastic containers. With that said, with all of the precautions taken, it is possible that some pet dander or hair may be present in the home during a rental period. Every effort will be made to prevent such a situation, but if pet hair is present, the remedy shall be additional cleaning. Pet hair or dander shall not be cause for termination of the rental, early departure, or a full refund. ** Rental Agreements, Security Deposits, Rental Requirements - All hotels and rental properties have some rules and are subject to some amount of laws or regulations. Please look for and review any Rental Agreement terms, House Rules, and or Terms and Conditions presented during the online booking process. After booking, a Vacation Rental Agreement will be provided. All guests are required to sign the agreement within 72 hours of booking, and prior to occupying the property. There may be other requirements. For example, Guests may be required to provide additional information about the group that will occupy the property and or identification documents. Background checks may be performed, and in some areas are required by local law. Guests may be required to provide a credit card and or a refundable security/damage deposit. We will be in touch after you book to gather additional information and to email you the rental agreement, which you can sign electronically - no printer required. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us before booking. ** Amenities - Some private or shared amenities may not be available for guest use during certain periods. Some amenities, when part of a property, may close daily, seasonally, or for maintenance. As such, all amenities can not be guaranteed to be available at all times. Please advise us when or before booking if you have questions about a specific property amenity so that we can give you the most accurate information possible for your dates. ** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required. ** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. Please let us know if you have any concerns. ** Cleaning Fees & Lengthy Rental Periods - The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended. For guests who are booking a lengthy stay of more than one week, a mid stay-cleaning fee equal to the final cleaning fee may apply for the second week, third week, and so on. Clean and cute
We enjoyed our stay in the clean and cozy cottage. It was whimsically, decorated and very comfortable. Great location to enjoy downtown Bainbridge.

Modern adorable bungalow
We enjoyed our long weekend here with a very comfortable and clean place. Great neighborhood for walking to town for coffee, dinner and shopping. Easy drive to ferry to visit Seattle as well.
The home was charming and had all the extras to make our stay comfortable. We slept well in the main queen bed as well! We would definitely visit again.

Beautiful house.
Spectacular property. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Is even better than the listing online. Location is perfect for walking to restaurants and shops. Only drawback is the only shower is located outside.

Gorgeous home in great location
We loved the set up of the home, the location which allowed us to walk into Winslow for food, coffee, etc. Having a fenced in lawn was awesome and we LOVED the outdoor shower, but this would have been chilly in the winter! So, just as an FYI to future visitors, there is an awesome bathtub, but shower is outside on the deck. Very cool and probably one of the things we loved about the place. We will definitely look to stay here again if/when we visit in the summer.

the perfect weekend getaway spot
Gorgeous home, beautifully decorated with so many surprising and joyful touches. Definitely not cookie-cutter interior design here. It was the perfect weekend getaway for a solo trip to recharge my batteries. I did the trip without a car and it was close enough to the ferry and downtown shops that I didn't miss it. Owner was lovely and gracious.

Great Getaway
I did not read all of the amenities before booking. Check this out before booking. No Coffee pot or microwave and the shower is outside. Lovely when the temperature is warm and not raining.
Very clean and boho style inside.
