"Rambling large country home on a hilltop in the Dordogne area of SW France. Great outdoor amenities with a heated pool and large hot tub and outdoor shower. Also outdoor dining area with umbrellas and lovely views. The XL dining room was a great bonus for our family dinners. All bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom. There is no powder bathroom or half bath. As Americans we struggled with the size of the small showers. Also there is no A/C and the upstairs can get quite warm in the summer. There...

Seuls bémols : (I) l'agencement intérieur surprenant (salles de bains éloignées des chambres, obligeant à passer par la cuisine ou le salon pour aller de l'un à l'autre) et (II) l'absence de porte pour l'une des chambre. Sans cela, allez-y les yeux fermés !"

"Lovely place to stay and explore the local area (you will need a car). Very easy check in, clean place, comfortable beds, spacious lounge, very thoughtful owner with great communication, pool was a godsend in the blazing heat and great protection for the kids with it being covered, nice big garden and everything you need! It's a very peaceful and quiet in the area. The only advice is to bring lots of DEET in summer, the mosquitoes like the taste of English blood, they're vicious!! "

We kregen ook tips mbt restaurants en goede info vooraf voor de incheck. Het huis zelf ligt rustig maar vlakbij het dorp (bakker 2 minuten met de auto of 10 min lopen). "We loved our stay. Beautiful home . The amenities were excellent . location amazing so close to the town of Bergerac and by the river. Pool was nice and warm ( be sure to put the cover on each night to keep the warmth ) . The only warning is keep mosquito repellant handy. Being near water and the River. Check in quick . It would be nice to have Fans in the living areas & bedrooms but the walls are thick so over all house stays pretty cool. Wonderful Charm and we had a great time - Will go again...

"We had a wonderful stay at Dezie Manor in the Cottage. The house is stunning and the host Grant is extremely attentive and helpful whilst unobtrusive. The house is very well equipped and the air conditioning was extremely welcome as we had temperatures of 40 degrees.
