Quiet, chic, spacious, and with a beautiful view: Located in the attic of our lovingly renovated 19th-century farmhouse is the newly furnished, 90 m² Alpine Affair vacation apartment. We’re based in the tranquil town of Au bei Bad Aibling in the Chiemsee-Alpenland region of Upper Bavaria. The apartment, stylishly furnished with plenty of wood and Swiss stone pine accents, has its own entrance. The living space features a loft-style layout. It includes a sleeping area (Swiss stone pine double bed), a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living areas, and a bathroom with a tub, shower, and toilet. Additionally: an east-facing balcony, a terrace with chairs, a table, and sun loungers—all offering a view of the village and the nearby mountains. A parking space in the carport with a charging station for electric cars and e-bikes awaits you. The vacation apartment is the perfect starting point for bike rides, hikes, visits to the Bad Aibling thermal spa, and excursions to the Chiemsee-Chiemgau vacation region, the Schliersee-Tegernsee Alpine region with the Wendelstein, and nearby Tyrol. The apartment is located 50 km from Munich, 18 km from Schliersee, 35 km from Chiemsee, and 98 km from Munich Airport—the Sudelfeld ski area is just around the corner, and SkiWelt Tirol is also only 50 km away.

Au bei Bad Aibling, a district of the spa town and mud bath resort of Bad Feilnbach, is located in Upper Bavaria in the Chiemsee-Alpenland region, exactly halfway between Munich and Salzburg. Meadows, forests, moors, orchard meadows, lakes, and rivers characterize the beautiful landscape around Au. Behind the village rise the Bavarian Alps, and the Wilder Kaiser glows on the horizon. The village is perfectly situated for outdoor activities and excursions. There are numerous beautiful bike paths. Hikers can choose between trails on the plains or tours into the Chiemgau and Mangfall Valley Alps. Lake Chiemsee, with Fraueninsel, Herreninsel, and Herrenchiemsee Castle, is only 35 kilometers away. For city visits, Rosenheim, Wasserburg am Inn, and Bad Aibling, as well as Kufstein in Austria, are great options. There is a diverse cultural scene that also brings Bavarian and Tyrolean traditions to life. A place to relax is the nearby Bad Aibling thermal spa. In Au and the surrounding area, there are good shopping options for groceries and a number of cozy inns and restaurants.
Your hosts are Diana and Stephan Kalinka, along with their son Felix and their Miniature Spitz, Rocky. Our quietly situated home, a 19th-century farmhouse, has been carefully renovated. We recently converted the attic and completely refurbished the Alpine Affair vacation apartment. Diana Audi-Kalinka runs the shop “Traumwerkstatt am Dorfplatz” in the village of Au and specializes in products made from Swiss stone pine. You’ll also find many fragrant Swiss stone pine accessories in the apartment. Stephan Kalinka is the managing director of a tourism marketing agency. Their son Felix is active in school and sports. The friendly Miniature Spitz, Rocky, “guards” the property. We spend a lot of time outdoors ourselves and are happy to give you tips on excursions, bike rides, hikes, swimming lakes, and the nearest ski resorts. Payment via PayPal is also accepted.
