"This hotel provided a reasonably sized and comfortable room. The bathroom, although a bit small, was well-organized, making it convenient for guests. The breakfast was excellent value for money, offering a variety of hot food options. However, the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell that persisted throughout our entire stay of six days. I suspect it was coming from the shower curtain fabric or the sewer line. Additionally, the bathtowels were not made of cotton."

"The accommodation was clean and spacious. The decor is quite dark, but probably because of the dark beams. The welcome in the pub wasn’t great, we weren’t acknowledged whilst standing with our bags in the pub. I understand the stafff are busy, but a simple’hello, we’ll be with you in a minute’ would be nice. We didn’t see any members of staff as the breakfast is a completely self service buffet. Yes the place needs a bit of tidying up, decorating, updating of furniture but that doesn't bother me as long as everything works for it's purpose which it did. "Quaint hotel in beautiful location near footpaths leading to good walks in the countryside. The room was reasonably comfortable, though a little hot for a Summer day. Our room did not face the valley and so had no special view. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was very good, especially the coffee. Good value for money for a pleasant break."

"A friendly welcome by the staff and very attentive throughout our stay. Room 8 was excellent with plenty of space and a large bath with separate shower. Food selection was great and expertly prepared. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Several walks from the hotel and the river Wye is only a 15 minute walk away."

"The receptionist was kind enough to let us park our car while we went up to Sugarloaf early in the morning. All the staff are very friendly. We had our dinner at their restaurant. Fish and chips lovely and cooked breakfast was very nice. Lovely view of the mountain from our bedroom. Room is very spacious,nice and clean. Bathroom is lovely and clean. Looking forward staying here again."

"The room was good in size and decor , garden room suite. We were on the ground floor the room above us you could hear everything even the person snoring , the floor must have been floorboards and we could hear everything, This woke us up and continued throughout the morning!"

"The location of the hotel is just opposite to the bus stop which is perfect for us. The hotel ia like a boutique hotel, very nicely decorated. The manager Ian and Christian is very friendly. The room is very clean and tidy and we had a wonderful stay."
