"This house was booked last minute for an improptu women's holiday because it was available and allowed a pet. The view of the lake is beautiful, but you can't get in and out to swim here. Many things were in disrepair like doors, windows, and screens. Linens, towels, water, toilet paper was not ready for us and had to be asked for and was stained and worn. "Such a gem of a property, and exactly true to photos. I love to find unique places to stay and this choice was it! They tended to our needs quickly, and even came and cleaned and filled the pool while we were there so our boys could use it all day. The only fallback is it is 30 minutes away from Bacalar, so if you don't have plans to cook on your holiday (that was me) it is a bit of driving. But if you stock up with fruit from the road stands and some food before arriving, you will be glad...

"Absolutely lovely! It was an oasis in the middle of the jungle forest. The staff are friendly and responsive. We loved the pool and the central common area. "Hotel is amazing and staff is very receptive and kind. Room is very comfortable and has an extraordinary view. We were warmly welcomed by Jesus in the reception. Maria also assisted us in the best way she could. The bar and restaurant was very good and we were kindly served by Isabel with cocktails, waitors Giovani, Michelangelo and Ricardo. We had a problem with the shower late at our first night, that under circumstances caused some discomfort. However, it was resolved in the next morning and changed by a new one that was installed. Suggestion: maybe a room (any level) could have been offered just for taking a shower as we had a long day and drive to Bacalar, but I don't know if the hotel had any spare rooms available. Nevertheless, problem solved and Maria was very receptive to hearing us out and seek a solution. "
