"Great property that's out in the hills behind Avila Beach. Stayed in the Forest building which was nice and seemed fairly new. The main building with the lobby is a beautiful space. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Room had a wine chiller instead of a refrigerator which is a choice. Also the only microwave is in the lobby. All in all I'd still revisit"

"The gal at the front desk was amazing! Parking was great. I loved that it was secure and parked in a parking garage which kept my car out of the sun and safe. I had a pretty good view from the room I was in. The room was somewhat clean overall. But, attention to details would be great. "When they ask you if you drove to the hotel, it's their hook to charge you $15/night for parking. Really? And forbid you get back after 11pm, you have to park your non-EV vehicle in one of the 30 EV parking spots right in front. Too bad. Oh, and don't expect a room refresh every day because they only refresh every other day. I get not replacing towels every day, but at the price they charge per night, I expect a little service. "If you are looking for a unique place to stay, I would highly recommend the Madonna Inn. I would also recommend booking way in advance if you want a particular room. My only criticism is that the bed was extremely uncomfortable and so were the pillows (in the Yahoo room). As for the shower, the cave theme is great, but water gets all over the entire bathroom floor and does not dry for hours."
