"The whole property is gorgeous. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. It was very clean and comfortable from the welcoming gifts in EVERY room to the kitchen loaded with what ever utensil you could possibly need. The close proximity of a store and the ample places to put things. Every night there was a movie in the theatre with popcorn. The billiards room with space to play and the parlor for quiet talks. We could not have been more pleased. "

"This estate was a perfect family gathering to celebrate a milestone birthday. The host gave important information in a timely manner and the housekeeper answered questions quickly and precisely. "Despite a couple of issues "Homeplace" was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. I am a veteran so I have been to a number of locations. Becky answered my texts promptly. More importantly I had some difficulty locating the home. I didn't realize I was only a few blocks away. Becky answered my call and gave the directions to the house. "The cabin is exactly what it looks like in the pictures. Everything appears to be brand new. It is very clean and well stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. There’s no cell phone signal but the Wi-Fi is strong. Josh was very responsive in communication, I will likely stay here again."

"We were in town for my Grannys funeral. She grew up in this area. This house was perfect. It was walking distance to downtown. Plenty of room. Nice sized kitchen. Very clean with the peefect backyard for visiting. Will stay here again when we are back in town."

"Really liked the old house feel but very noisy by road"

"The inside was decorated beautifully, Loved the garage And( even though we didnt use) washer and dryer."

"Great host and hostess. Great apartment. Great price for extended stays. Quick to reply after questions asked. Allows pets and its rare to find a VRBO that does. Have stayed 2 summers at apartment. Good location close to Paintsville Lake State Park and Jenny Wiley State Park. 5 min drive to Dollar General and approx. 15min drive to Walmart."

"The place does not exist. Could not find it. Called the host. Host had phone on not accepting calls. I was in the area for my mom's funeral. Had to scramble to find another place to stay. "

"The home and linens were clean, plenty of living space. The house is like walking into a time capsule of your grandmothers home. Very small bathrooms, drafty window AC units still installed in late November, old TVs. No grill outside was disappointing. Tight single stacked parking. There is another small house on the same lot with multiple vehicles coming and going, combined with the close neighbors and there is limited privacy and no outdoor space."
