Westlake Hills Retreat Minutes from Downtown

This comfortable retreat in the hills just west of downtown Austin is the ideal location for a family or a group of friends to explore all that Central Texas has to offer: downtown Austin, the hill country, shopping, outdoor recreation, fine restaurants, as well as special events such as UT Football games, Formula 1, Austin City Limits, SXSW and countless others.

For those looking for a quiet and safe retreat, our home is extremely private on a dead-end street off a dead-end street in the Westlake Highlands area of Central Austin. No through traffic means quiet nights with only the sound of night birds and the rustle of the trees. Even though it feels like you are in the country, you are a short 10 minute drive through beautiful hilly quiet roads to downtown Austin, 15 minutes to UT, 30 minutes to F1, 5 minutes to ACL, 10 minutes to SXSW venues and less than 5 minutes to dining & shopping.

The house is 3400 square feet on a wooded half acre. The base rate is for 6 persons, but can sleep up to 10 people in 4 king beds and 1 queen bed. Children or people who don’t mind a fold out couch can double-up on a queen sofa bed in the master bedroom, increasing the occupancy to 12. We can also make up a couch in the study to increase occupancy to 13 and a queen floor mattress in the upstairs master suite to fit 15 total.

The main floor features the master bedroom with a King bed and an en-suite bathroom with a tub and shower and double vanities. The room also has a couch that folds out into a queen bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed and is next to a half-bath. The main floor also features a great room, a large kitchen with a bar that seats 6 and that opens up to the family room, a dining area that seats 8 and a laundry room with supplies. The outdoor deck wraps around the main floor and features outdoor living and dining areas.

The second floor features a Jack and Jill suite with each bedroom featuring a king bed. The fifth bedroom has a king bed and its own bathroom.

The base rate is for six people, after six, the rate goes up by $75 per person per night.

Outdoor cat on premises has access to the laundry room and garage. If you would like the cat to be removed, we can board him for $50 per night.
