The home is equipped with entertainment too, from its backyard fireplaces, to its billiards and table tennis games, you'll have lots of options. You'll be only 5 minutes from downtown, and across the street from a park, in the lively neighbourhood of Govalle.

This 2-home complex has a whopping 8 bedrooms in total and can sleep up to 18 guests at a time. It's perfect for groups of friends or big families, and you'll be only 5 minutes from downtown in the lively neighbourhood of Govalle. Govalle is a highly rated neighborhood by Austinites, who frequently regard Govalle as the "happening" area. The entire landscape of the neighborhood is dotted with entertainment, dining, shopping, gyms, transportation, and friendly neighbors. Staying in Govalle means never being bored.

In the first house, the first bedroom is on the ground level and has a double bed. It also has a sparkling ensuite bathroom and doors that lead to fenced-in furnished patio. The other bedrooms are all upstairs. The second bedroom has a trundle bed and doors leading to a balcony patio. The third and fourth bedrooms each have two single beds in them.

Similar in layout, the second house also has a bedroom on the ground level. This time, it features a Queen sized bed, and a beautiful ensuite bathroom. This bedroom has patio doors that lead to the backyard, where you'll find a lovely little furnished patio. The second bedroom has a trundle bed and lots of closet space. The third and fourth bedrooms each have two single beds in them. The living room sofa also folds out into a bed for two people.

Both kitchen's come fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, and dishwasher's to handle the clean up. Each kitchen has a dining table with plenty of room, and additional kitchen bar seating. One of the kitchen dining tables also converts into a billiards table or table tennis game.

The living rooms are designed with an open concept and both have high ceilings. There's smart TVs for your entertainment, complimentary high speed internet service flows throughout both homes. There's even in-home laundry machines and free onsite parking for up to 4 vehicles. Additional street parking is available.

The Neighborhood:
Located about two miles east of Downtown Austin, Govalle – Swedish for “good grazing” – began as a cattle ranch during the mid-1800s. Today, it’s a popular neighborhood with easy access to downtown as well as to the University of Texas at Austin. The neighborhood extends north from the Colorado River to Rosewood Avenue in East Austin. The Boggy Creek passes through the heart of Govalle and the Boggy Creek Greenbelt is located on either side of the neighborhood.

Govalle is a highly rated neighborhood by Austinites, who frequently regard Govalle as the "happening" area. The entire landscape of the neighborhood is dotted with entertainment, dining, shopping, gyms, transportation, and friendly neighbors. Living in Govalle means never being bored.

The food in Govalle is just as diverse as its people's interests and activities. Vegans will have no shortage of options here. Big chain fast food restaurants are abundant as with most busy areas, but the foods that really seem to define the neighborhood are Latino and American. From Tex Mex and authentic Mexican to Salvadorian and great hamburgers, there is sure to be a restaurant to make your taste buds happy. Fine dining is available in Govalle as well.

At night this busy neighborhood, full of shoppers and people riding busses during the day, turns into another equally diverse setting. Theaters can be found all around Govalle as well as a wide range of dining. The bar scene is extremely strong from trendy clubs to sports bars to local pubs. College students from Austin Community College and the University of Texas are out in full force as the vast majority of places cater to a younger crowd - although there are plenty of low-key bars for a quieter night.

Getting Around:
Govalle is a vibrant, walkable neighborhood in East Austin, perfect for exploring on foot, by bike, or via public transit. MetroBike stations, e-scooters, and CapMetro bus routes (4, 18, and 350) make getting around easy, while Plaza Saltillo Station offers quick MetroRail access to Downtown. Rideshares like Uber and Lyft are readily available, and free street parking is abundant. If you’re heading to the airport, it’s just a 15-minute drive or accessible via CapMetro Route 350. Whether you're strolling local breweries, biking the Walnut Creek Trail, or catching a quick ride to downtown, Govalle makes it simple to explore Austin.

• The sofa bed in Unit B is currently out of order and unavailable for use. We're working on getting it replaced as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding!
