"The Mead had long been the gold standard hotel in Wisconsin Rapids. It appears that many improvements are being made since we stayed in July. Newly painted rooms, lighted mirrors and improvements to the outside of the property. Weeds and landscaping becoming a priority. We love the Mead in and long to see it get by live and attention it deserves."

"The check in was on a screen—I suppose “efficient” to not pay a guest services person, but I’d appreciate face to face with a human. Everything was fine. Clean enough, but old rooms. All amenities were low-end brands (cost efficient, I guess), the soaps, shampoos, room coffee, etc., which makes sense because of the low cost of staying there. Breakfast options were sparse, too, and they had a sign telling guests not to take food into the rooms, but with no one at the desk, people were...
