"Fantastic getaway. We didn't have the greatest weather, but the River house is so cozy and cheerful that it more than made up for it. We were able to get some hiking, fishing and kayaking in. They are great hosts."

"Had a fantastic weekend here. We love Oscoda and this is a beautiful spot right on Lake Huron. The manager Chad was very helpful and a super nice guy. Keep in mind before booking this place doesn’t have certain amenities like towels, soap or shampoo and garbage bags. It does have appliances, silverware, dishware, and an outdoor grill. They’re in the process of updating it so right now so many things are pretty rough around the edges, especially the interior of the cabins. We wouldn’t hesitate to...

"We had a pleasant experience. The only problem was when we moved a fire pit closer to our cabin because the are was vacant (5 fire pits only 8 cabins, which needs to be addressed). The man who checks on the property came over and stated he drove by to talk to us earlier, but we were not at the cabin, which (a) seems like stalking and (b) his tone and the way he was leering at my daughter in law were not appreciated. If we stay next year my son and I may just kick his ass....we were tempted to...

"Everything was wonderful. Just one pretty minor complaint: the CD player was weird to operate and only one speaker worked. We had a great time. We visited Tuttle Marsh and the River Road on the Au Sable River on our way out, and climbed the lighthouse and hiked all around the edge of the peninsula. The fall colors were at peak for a good portion of our trip up. Thanks very much for making our 40th anniversary a great experience."

"We liked that it was practical and felt like a home away from home. Some cabins feel like they’re trying to be hotels and that’s fine, but this felt more like a quiet, simplified home. The layout was practical and there were places to hang towels. It made good use of the available space. It’s located away from the busy street and between Tawas and Oscoda, making for a shorter drive to both places. Our only downside was the beds were small (they are listed as double — so I just thought in my head...

"We stay here every year for the weekend after the Ausable Canoe Marathon. The cabin is clean with cute decor. Right on the water! Beautiful beach. The kids love it. Hidden gem "

"Our stay at Casa Playa was nothing short of amazing! We booked a last minute trip to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday with 3 of her friends and my youngest daughter. The check process was easy, the house was clean with every amenity you would need, the beach is gorgeous along with the location, and the atmosphere was cozy. I highly recommend Casa Playa. "

"Cabin was a throwback to simpler times, and was perfect. Quiet location, and hosts were great with communicating. Very peaceful at night especially, would definitely stay again. "
