"Everything was wonderful, our host was accurate on description of property. The home had everything that you needed and then some. If you rent this home and you forget something, don't worry it's there. The beach was close and qas great that there were beach chairs for us to use. We had an amazing time and we would definitely stay again"

"Property is in great condition and very clean. Comfortable furniture and beds. Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. Wonderful pots, pans, and utensils as well as the plates and silverware. Definitely not the typical mishmash from the local garage sale. I cannot overstate how comfortable and at home we were and didn't want to leave!! The beach almost deserves its own review because it was spectacular. Calm water and warm sugar sand, our kids lived in the water! Many memories were made and again...

"We had a pleasant experience. The only problem was when we moved a fire pit closer to our cabin because the are was vacant (5 fire pits only 8 cabins, which needs to be addressed). The man who checks on the property came over and stated he drove by to talk to us earlier, but we were not at the cabin, which (a) seems like stalking and (b) his tone and the way he was leering at my daughter in law were not appreciated. If we stay next year my son and I may just kick his ass....we were tempted to...

"Everything was wonderful. Just one pretty minor complaint: the CD player was weird to operate and only one speaker worked. We had a great time. We visited Tuttle Marsh and the River Road on the Au Sable River on our way out, and climbed the lighthouse and hiked all around the edge of the peninsula. The fall colors were at peak for a good portion of our trip up. Thanks very much for making our 40th anniversary a great experience."

"My 18 year old daughter suddenly became available for a last minute family trip so I scrambled to find someplace that would accommodate myself, 13-year old son, my daughter and her boyfriend as well. I was lucky enough to find Harper’s Hangout! "We liked that it was practical and felt like a home away from home. Some cabins feel like they’re trying to be hotels and that’s fine, but this felt more like a quiet, simplified home. The layout was practical and there were places to hang towels. It made good use of the available space. It’s located away from the busy street and between Tawas and Oscoda, making for a shorter drive to both places. Our only downside was the beds were small (they are listed as double — so I just thought in my head...

"The property was very nice. The Lakeview was absolutely beautiful. This would be a wonderful place for a couple or two couples as there are two bedrooms with king beds. That was very nice. Also they have a very cool screen door that is magnetized and shuts on its own when you go in and out. Helps tremendously with the bugs. The hosts are very nice and very helpful. If you need anything at all they try to help you very promptly. Our time went by way too fast. Would definitely stay again. "

"The house was very clean. The neighborhood is very peaceful quiet. The back yard is HUGE. They provided yard games also! The fire pit is nice and big too. We have a 8 and 10 year old and they had good time. They played outside and we didn’t have to “worry” about them. The beach is a short walk to a private beach. It was a fun vacation and nice home! We recommend and give it a 10/10!!! "
