Northwinds Adventures - Beautiful Renovated Home On Private Lake

The Love Palace includes 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, large living room, full kitchen with an island, washer (detergent provided) and dryer, ac/furnace, wood burning stove for additional heat and ambience, beautiful back deck overlooking Love Lake w/ a charcoal grill. Free WIFI and Satellite TV! Linens provided for all beds only, two futons in living room, one is a queen other a full. Extra blankets, pillows and towels provided as well. Pack and Play available upon request - $20. If you are coming up to ATV or snowmobile, we ask that you DO NOT ride machines on the property but can ride from property to trails, 3 miles to the Freda Loop.

We are 3 retired friends that travel to the U.P. every year. This is our second time staying at Northwinds Adventures. We absolutely love it there and are already thinking about a trip there next year! The owners are amazing! They're welcoming and quickly responsive to any questions!The house was clean and had anything we could possibly need! The location is perfect for a stay near Houghton or a trip around the Keeweenaw. I especially loved the lake and my peaceful times kayaking there. This is the perfect place for a trip to the U.P.

Perfect place

We were in town to celebrate Easter with our son, a Michigan tech student. The cabin was perfect for us to have Easter dinner and hang out with our family. It was a nice quiet property and the cabin had everything we needed. We hope to be back next year!

This home and surrounding property was beautiful and owners were great. Excellent communication. Close enough to a town for your basic needs and restaurants but location feels secluded. Great experience!

Family vacation

Very clean, peaceful, and fun place to stay. The private lake was also a plus having kids. 1902 tap & grill has great food as well.and is about 7 minutes away. Highly recommended!

Great cabin and overall property!

We stayed at the Love Palace cabin in early July and really enjoyed ourselves. The cabin was very clean and the perfect size for our family of five. We had plenty of space for local family to visit without feeling cramped. We loved the direct private lake access which kept our kids entertained especially given the amenities (beach, floating diving platforms, equipment rentals, and basketball court). The outdoor firepit was great as well. A few things that could make a stay even more enjoyable would be the addition of a dishwasher (spent quite a bit of time hand washing dishes), providing bedding for the twin bunk beds (an inconvenience for a traveler given the low cost to provide as part of the rental), and providing charcoal for the grill. All relatively minor in the grand scheme, but just a few things that could really enhance the ease of a stay! :)

Easter weekend visit

Excellent stay at Northwinds Adventure at the "Love Palace"...Plenty of room for the family to relax and hang out, play games, etc...Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals...wifi worked great...plenty of towels in the bathrooms...fireplace was a bonus, too cold to spend time outside, so I cannot speak to lake/beach amenities, about a 10 minute drive to MTU...overall great stay, would recommend, would stay again. Thank you!

Our Stay we made the best of our stay without snow. Had a lot of laughs, a little hungover, and even ran into Lical Joey Jackson. Carl and Michelle are awesome and there property is beautiful.

Great setting!

This was my 4th stay at Northwinds Adventures cabins. Very peaceful setting on a private lake. Away from town, and still a convenient drive to Houghton or Hancock. Michelle and Karl are great hosts. Very responsive communication.

Comfortable cabin

A few more amenities would have been nice. Shampoo, body wash, salt and pepper, coffee but overall a wonderful place to stay! Not a big deal. A mid weight blanket would be nice in the summer. Coffee machine was a bit leaky and one side of the toaster didn’t work. Nothing major at all. The lake and facility was a beautiful and peaceful retreat to connect with old friends. The owners were wonderful and Kris is fantastic.

We loved our stay! Everyone in the area is so nice, the house was amazing and in such a great location. Close enough to make a run to town but still off in its own space. We would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants a great get away!

Another perfect vacation!

We have stayed at this property several times and every single stay has been perfect. The cabins are spacious, well-appointed, and VERY clean and the owners are always quick to respond to any questions. There is just no room for improvement -- we will keep coming back!

Beautiful Cabin - authentic UP North

Great cabin, awesome up north feel with a perfect amount of space for a large group. Very clean, nicely furnished and it was everything we needed. The only (very slight) negative is, without good snow it’s a bit tough to get to the snowmobile trails, I blame that on Mother Nature. Lol.

Wonderful home

The renting and check in/out process was very easy. Very clean home & property with several accommodations. House had everything we needed to cook each night. The beach was a plus. Not as secluded as appears & as some other rentals we’ve had but overall was a wonderful home and property!

Great little quaint place

This place was a great getaway for me and my friends. Although we did have one little mouse friend, the place was exactly as described and just what we wanted. They were great with communication and provided everything we asked for.
