  • Exceptional log home situated on Lake Superior down a private road on the beautiful and historic Keweenaw Peninsula. Just 10 miles to Houghton and Hancock, it’s the perfect gateway to the natural wonders of historic “Copper Country”. For the adventurous, enjoy hiking, waterfalls, mountain biking or rent an ATV and experience the almost unlimited trails that the UP has to offer.

    Back at the log cabin, enjoy a gourmet kitchen, well appointed bedrooms and a great room with 20 foot high ceilings and spectacular views of the lake. At day’s end, sit back and relax to a fire on the shores of the Great Lake watching spectacular sunsets fade into magnificent starscapes.

This was a great cabin for our MTU friends reunion. The cabin was exactly as advertised, the amenities and view were fantastic. I would strongly recommend this VRBO!

The house was great. We loved having the beach right there and how private our area was. The kitchen had everything we needed like plenty of dishes and cooking supplies. The s'mores kit was a nice touch. The hosts left plenty of great tips on what activities we could go do and provided lots of beach supplies. Each of the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Also, we loved the spectacular view from the living room.

Beautiful property secluded but not too far from anything. Spent my 50th birthday here, June 21th-25th. Will absolutely book again in the fall. We never saw another person the whole time we were there. Perfect place to disconnect on Lake Superior. If you need to reconnect, run back up to the house. This place and location gives you many options.

The stay was AMAZING. Being right on Lake Superior, even in the dead of winter, was breathtaking, and the house is the perfect get away for a group of friends. Highly recommend!

We had the best weekend at this property! It was absolutely beautiful, both the cabin and the view. It was very clean and well cared for. The check in directions were super simple and the host was great with communication. This house was also the most stocked and prepared property I have ever stayed at. I don’t expect anything when staying at a rental but this house had everything you could think of that you might need! We were so sad to leave and can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful time - enjoyed the beach and the property! The master bed was very comfortable and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. Would stay again if we were in the area.

The house was in top shape. The view and Lake shore is breathtaking. Built a fire every night in the fireplace. The kitchen/dining room area is a great gathering place for family and friends time. Good communication from our host. Doesn’t take long to get into town. We are a repeat for this home. I would highly recommend to stay.

I cannot say enough great things about our stay at this home. Host was great about communications ahead of the trip. We had a welcome basket of s’more supplies waiting for us, which our kids promptly devoured. House was spacious and clean. Kitchen was well stocked with foil, wraps, baggies, and needed spices. Coffee machine was stocked with initial supply of coffee, and the kitchen utensils were high quality. Two pro tips – Turn on Wi-Fi calling on your phone if you have no service. Grab a bag of ice in town and place it in the icemaker in the freezer. I’m not sure when we will be back to the Keweenaw again, but if we do we will 100% stay at this property.

Phenomenal property and host! We spent 9 weeks here from Feb-April, and believe it or not it was a dream winter stay! Lake Superior is a woman of so many faces, and to see her from deep winter through her Spring thaw was so incredible. This log cabin was so well equipped, and so comfortable for this amazing adventure. Highlights were warm fires in the stunning fireplace and walks on the lake in the snow or sand. Great neighbors. All around fantastic! Thanks Michael!

This property was incredible! We had such a great time relaxing on the private beach. We were shocked to find that the water was in the seventies and swimmable! I'm not sure if it gets warmer in this area or if we were just lucky. One thing to be aware of is the texture of the beach. It is not sand, but crushed rock and it sticks to everything! The owners left a recommendation to fill a provided bucket to clean feet before coming in and that was very helpful! It was really hard on our dog's feet and they had to stay off the beach after a few days. Their feet were tore up and sore. I'm not sure if this is an issue with all dogs though. We have two pitties, and despite their reputation, they are delicate flowers. We definitely hope to return to this property one day!

Great quiet place to stay. The home is well laid out. Well furnished. On lake superior. Close to Houghton, shops, dining, and lots to see.
