Beach-block and ocean views!

Located in the Lower Chelsea area of Atlantic City, this home is just 1 mile from the Trop and 10 minutes from the Borgata while being in a residential area with little to no crime making it safe to travel by foot for the entire family. This beach block beauty has grand architectural heritage. Detailed wood carvings, enormous fireplaces, and a elaborately carved staircase are earmarks of the first floor. Central air conditioning, custom dining table, high speed WIFI, and flat screen televisions, also make this home a functional destination for the entire family.

At this home, you have wonderful ocean views from multiple rooms and windows!

There is also great parking that accommodates 6 cars.

The ocean and boardwalk are only 60 yards away and you can walk the boardwalk from Margate to the Ocean Casino without getting off.

The beaches where the home is located are free, lifeguard monitored, clean, never crowded and wonderful for children to swim in as there's no "cliff" when they get into the water so they can easily enjoy themselves.

The property was a nice location and adequate enough for our large extended family gathering, but I think for the price, it should be kept up a bit better. The air conditioning was adequate which was good, but other amenities were a little lacking. Wifi functional but slow from first two floors, but did not reach 3rd floor. Paint chipping and things generally just not kept up, some stainless steel pots in the kitchen, but may want to bring your own griddle and pot holders. The dishwasher rack was missing a piece which would make it not spin/clean correctly. No grill brush. Only 4 cafe lights were not burnt out on the pergola. Outdoor shower is good for rinsing off, but lacks enough privacy to take a full shower in for most. 2nd floor shower drain and sink drains drain slowly. Seems like outdoor cleanup a little lacking (cigarette butts etc in a cup of water left about) and lawn not mowed, but indoor areas seemed to have been cleaned sufficiently.

I cannot recommend staying at this property in its current condition. The house’s location is great - short walk to the boardwalk/beach and a short, easy drive to the casinos. It’s also a huge house, giving a large group plenty of rooms and space to spread out. Despite these positives, I would not stay here again. I received no communication at check in or check out, or at all during our stay, which I found odd - I had to ask twice for confirmation about how to access the house before receiving a response. The house also sleeps 22, but only 2 physical keys to the front door were provided, neither of which unlock the back door, which is closest to the outdoor shower/most convenient when returning from the beach. A keypad system would make accessing the house much easier, especially for groups that want to split up. The house itself is in very poor condition and unkempt. There is a huge hole in the ceiling of one of the second floor bedrooms. Multiple outlets/wiring jobs looked unsafe. Paint was peeling throughout the house. There were beer cans and trash in the yard. Garbage on the kitchen floor and on the staircases upon arrival. The grill on the deck was unusable, the grates caked in grease/food scraps, which was unfortunate because we were looking forward to using it. Only about 5% of the bulbs on the string lights on the deck worked. There’s more I could add, but ultimately I was disappointed. Major updates/renovations are needed.

Thanks for a great stay!

John and Rebecca were great hosts who made the check in and check out process very smooth! Beach access was very easy, and they were kind enough to offer us complimentary cocktails at their restaurant down the street. The only downside is that the house was short on some essentials -- there was no sponge for dishes, no shampoo/conditioner, and no trash cans in the bathrooms. Those were minor complaints though. All in all, we had a wonderful stay!

Unfortunately, this house is grossly misrepresented and I’m shocked by the good reviews. The pictures on VRBO don’t come close to the actual rooms. Renters beware. Maybe this was renovated awhile ago and that’s when the photos were taken? We stayed in the third floor bedroom and the electrical outlet pulled out of the wall and the other didn’t work. Cleanliness was also an issue. Of the 10 guests staying in the house, 7 left in the middle of the night, choosing not to stay. What a waste of money.

Annual Family Getaway

My family had an amazing time. The location to the beach could not be any better. We were all able to gather around the large table and the living areas were very cozy and comfortable. We would rent again. I’m in agreement with everyone else that already said that house has charm and definitely needs some TLC. I usually choose homes aesthetically pleasing and was bothered by some of the updating that was needed (like a missing tile in a bedroom ceiling). We do a lot of cooking since we are feeding a crew and the cookware could have been better, but there were plenty of dishes and glassware. The beach chairs and bikes need to be updated but there were plenty of sand toys for the kids. The bedrooms were as pictured and it was great that bedding was included as well as beach and bath towels. However, many of the pillows were paper thin. We had a wifi issue but the host handled the issue right away and was very responsive. This is a great house for large crowds that want to enjoy the area and have fun!

HUGE beautiful home in great area!

This home was perfect for our girls trip! It was a total of 10 females, and this home was perfect! Bedrooms, livingrooms, dining room, kitchen all big areas. The owners are both lovely people and respind quickly! This morning I woke up and took 5 steps to 3rd floor balcony to just watch the waves on beach!! A mist stay again!!!!

Great time

We came here with a group of friends for new years. It accommodated us all with so many rooms. The kitchen was good and there were many sitting areas to hang out. I hope to get the opportunity to stay here again one day.

2024 Annual Family Gathering

The house itself is a charming property with beautiful carved stair railings, spacious bedrooms, and cozy fireplaces. Unfortunately, the VRBO listing did not accurately portray the property upon our arrival. The yard was neglected, with overgrown bushes and uncut grass, detracting from the house's overall appeal. Additionally, one bedroom had a missing ceiling tile, that left a hold, directly above the bed, and the house was unusually cold due to the hurricane's aftermath, requiring remote thermostat adjustments. While these issues were disappointing, the owner was accommodating in addressing the temperature concern. Basic amenities such as toilet paper were lacking in some bathrooms, and several mattress covers require replacement. Despite these shortcomings, our family thoroughly enjoyed the house, its location, and our overall stay. We would recommend the property with the hope that these minor issues will be addressed for future guests.

Overall happy with our stay. Owners communicated well. Our location to the beach was perfect. Large old house, 3 stories. Spacious. Newer bathrooms and kitchen. Clean. Not the easiest access to unload and bring stuff into the house due to 1 basic entry. Other entry was at the back of the house with stairs to deck passing many garbage cans. And a very nice neighborhood and manicured lawns except for this house. That would really enhance the appeal to this property. We enjoyed our time at this house.

Could be Very Good But...

Use caution renting this house. There are many good things here. Location is great and the beach here is beautiful and only a short walk. Downstairs common areas are pretty good but getting tired. Powder room sink worked but the facets and the handles are loose and free floating almost. You could see the air filter while going up the stairs and it appeared to be very dirty. Second floor bathroom had a very bad packing leak around the shower facets. The hot was basically pouring out around the handle and the hot water temperature was so hot, you could scold someone. I called them on Tuesday. Plumber showed up on Friday. There are no shutoff valves except the main in the basement. So, he tightens the packing nuts and removes the handles. No more leak but no more shower. We paid for a place to sleep 22 but only got beds for 16. Owners list the property as having a capacity of 22 people and claims Atlantic City told them to list it at that number. Their bedroom illustration shows capacity for 17 people in beds. We figured there would be fold out couches. We rented house needing sleeping for 21 people. Good thing 4 people cancelled on us. One person slept on a couch. First night there, we tried to use the outdoor grill. We noticed the grease trap was full almost to the top. We cleaned the grease trap and didn’t use it again. Listing 6 cars and 2 parking passes. Then they tell you there is off street parking for 3 cars (we squeezed 4).

Sister’s Bach

This house is beautiful, it has the character of old AC which we loved. Super close to the free beach, the tide was low and a sandbar. With 17 women ages 30-40 for my sister’s bachelorette we felt comfortable with tons of space, had an awesome dinner in the dining room and never waited for a bathroom or shower. Would def go back!! Thank you for having us! Oh and super close to AC ! We u weed to the Trop in less than 10 min!

Group Bachelorette Stay

We really enjoyed this house. It was perfect for what we needed it for. There is plenty of bedrooms and room within the bedrooms. We had plenty of common space for the group to gather. Contacting the host was very easy and she was very responsive. We very much enjoyed our visit at AC. It was close enough (if you don't mind a walk 1ish mile. This group enjoys a walk) to get to the active part of the boardwalk, but far enough away that you weren't right in the mix of everything AC. The neighborhood felt very safe. Would stay here again if we would come down for a visit.

Amazing location, interior needs some work

We had a family reunion in Atlantic City and rented this house and another down the street for their close proximity to each other. The location is perfect - just a steps away from the beach and walkable to the busier parts of Atlantic City. Plenty of large, airy beds/bedrooms; some rooms had their own A/C units which was essential because the heat of the third floor bedrooms. We did struggle a little with the central A/C which required texting the owner - we received timely responses but would’ve loved the flexibility to adjust on our own. The bedrooms were very sparsely appointed -- two rooms had no dressers and so we had to put our clothes on the floor which was hard for some of our older family members. The bathrooms varied in size and age --- the jetted hot tub turned out to be unappealing in its age and many of the bathroom floors had water damage and were uneven which was not ideal for our older family members. The kitchen was a great size, and there were some great pots available for cooking, but there were not nearly enough mugs and other items to host a larger gathering. In terms of house access, we would suggest switching to a keypad system or having additional keys ready for the number of guests considering the size of the house. Three keys among our group was difficult to coordinate transfers. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the location. We appreciated the hosts’ responsiveness, and we want future renters to be aware of the details we observed.

Perfect for my Bachelorette Party!

I stayed at this beautiful property with 12 of my friends and family members for my bachelorette party, and it was perfect for our large group! There was a ton of space for parking, the property manager was very prompt and helpful, and there was enough seating on the first floor for us all to hang out together. There were more than enough showers, bathtubs, and bathrooms on the second and third floor so everyone was easily able to get ready. The bedrooms were adorable and spacious, but with enough air conditioning and fans to keep us cool on a very hot and humid day. The location is ideal, being a quick walk from the beach and a quick car ride from the casinos. All the beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The departure check list was easy and manageable, which was great after a fun night out on the town. I couldn’t have stayed at a better property! I would absolutely recommend this house for large groups who want to be close to the beach and the nightlife of Atlantic City! It’s beautiful, comfortable, and convenient.
