"Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was not good. There appeared to be several individuals living on the property who were openly using drugs and loitering around common areas. This made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable during my stay. The hotel management should do a better job of maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for guests. I would not stay here again.”"

"Everything is new, recently renovated rooms. Motel is in a quiet area, yet restaurants and coffee shop, Walmart and Aldi close. Highly recommend."

The major disappointment was finding out GWL dosent do the buffet if they have under 80% occupancy, and the normal food is quite awful, definitely not worth $140+ for...

"Loved the Black Walnut Inn. I would love to go back. The rooms are lovely. Breakfast is delicious. A very generous spread. Self-serve tea and coffee is available at all times in the dining room area. There are also treats one can help oneself too. Chocolate chip cookies our first day and molasses cookies the second. Meghan bakes the best cookies. Seriously, the best. The owners are very warm. If we visit Amherst again, staying here would be our first choice. Thank you."

"My mom and I stayed here for two nights while we were in the area for the Brimfield Flea Market, and we had a wonderful experience. The house is spacious, clean and comfortable, and Heather is a great host. Both breakfasts were very nice. This is a great little bnb where we felt welcome and relaxed. We will definitely return the next time we go to the flea market!"
