  • Welcome to the Carriage House Miranda at Château Herbe, A contemporary retreat nestled within a one-of-a-kind castle estate

    Step into comfort and charm at this carriage house apartment, tucked inside a private, gated castle community featuring beautifully landscaped classical gardens, lush orchards, thriving vineyards, tranquil water features, and sweeping mountain views. Located just minutes from I-5 and downtown Ashland, it's the perfect blend of convenience and serenity.

    Please note: This is a shotgun-style apartment—guests will walk through the king bedroom to access the bunk bedroom. This is an upper-level unit accessible by two flights of stairs.

    As our guest, you’ll have access to the main château’s sunroom, cozy library, coffee bar, and scenic patio. Feel free to stroll through the estate's vineyard, gardens, orchards, and pond-side pergola, or relax by the classical fountain.

    Unwind in the hot sauna and hot tub, located just to the left of the sunroom in the main château.

    Please be aware that there are other guests and tenants on the property.

The location was beautiful and my family had a fantastic time using the Chateau as our home base as we explored Oregon. We definitley recommend for anyone looking for a great place to stay when you are in the Ashland area.

Loved loved loved staying here and had a fantastic stay with very reasonable rates! It is a bit difficult to find where the apartment was, but once we figured that part out, everything fell right into place. Huge thank you to the hosts for their excellent and timely communication- I also was a huge fan of the easy check in and check out process. Views are spectacular in this area and make for a really special and beautiful stay.

The host made me feel so welcome and cared for I really enjoyed my stay here. It is a very beautiful and peaceful property. Everything was clean and worked great. The pictures don’t show the rainbow lights that come on near the statues and the hot tub at night. This was one of my favorite parts. If you are contemplating reserving a night here, do it!

Lovely place

Nice place to stay, with full kitchen, and a close drive to downtown Ashland. The AC stopped and the staff were very responsive and provided.

Fun adventure on a beautiful property

The grounds were beautiful. There was access to the main house common areas, a coffee nook, library, sitting room, dining room, and a 1/2 bath. The half bath was handy for us because we rented an apartment with one bathroom but we were traveling with teenage girls. That allowed us to pop over to the main house when they were in the shower. We also had an issue with the air conditioning the first night. The property manager was prompt about working with us and went above and beyond to make things right. We also appreciated feeling like we were way out in the country even though we were minutes from town. Overall, we highly recommend this property.

Great Place!

Customer service and communication with the property manager was top-notch. They communicated the whole time and anything we needed while we were there. They were happy to provide a very quick manner. The property definitely is bare bones. There is absolutely nothing in the kitchen but silverware and plates so if you wanted salt pepper or anything else like that- It was not provided. The beds and the pillows were very, very comfortable, and the linens were really nice. However, there is a couch made for only two people in the living room that is so uncomfortable And there’s not much other furniture or throw blankets to make it a comfy environment. This property definitely needs an upgrade with furniture that is comfortable and providing basic items in the kitchen.

Nice place to stay just away from the fray

The property manager did a great job. During our stay, the a/c was out so she had portable units brought in before we arrived and left a lovely bottle of Syrah. The portable units worked just fine. I would give five stars, but I can't because the bed advertised as a King was a Queen. This was okay for us but could pose a problem for someone (like my late dad, who was very tall and needed the King-sized bed). The other issue could be easily remedied as well. One of the curtains in the bathroom did not provide the privacy needed in a bathroom -- it was a cafe curtain hung too low and was very sheer. That window is right at the front of the carriage house so is very visible to anyone in the front. The kitchen was fine. Could use a few more items, like a toaster, but was fine for our purposes.Otherwise, it was a great place to stay for our family of four which includes two teens. We would certainly stay again.
