"Bad wifi and limited facilities. No fridge in the room, gym or anything really other than a square room with dodgy aircon. I would give it a 3 star but the staff were so friendly and helpful that it deserves a 5."

"Good clean room. Bathroom looked as if it had been recently refurbished and was immaculate. A bigger bath mat in the shower cubicle would be advisable as the floor does get slightly slippy. Air con would have been useful, especially in the recent hot weather. Breakfasts were good but took a long time to arrive."

"Not a bad place to stay for a night, but a few little annoyances made for a less than ideal visit. The AC in the health club wasn’t working, which made exercising very difficult on a warm spring day. The conditioner pump in the shower didn’t work. The sofa bed, which was advertised to accommodate two, was very, very small. Our upstairs neighbours woke us up at 4am, and loud doors slamming could be heard throughout the night. The TV turned on in the middle of the night, despite the remote being...

"Room had a wet mouldy smell, didnt get any better with airing out. The hotel is located in a industrial area Bathroom was worn but not the worst. The food at the connected resturant was bland but they had great understanding of gluten free. Overall was okay but wouldnt stay here again, especially at the price point."

"The view from my accommodation and also that of my family members in the two next door was way better than the picture - literally 'tree tops' - looking across the Kent countryside through mature trees. The terrace was perfect for sitting out. The rooms were modern and really lovely, air conditioned, well equipped and with a sliding Japanese style door for privacy when the kids were in bed. The reserve was so peaceful"

"Howfield Manor is a really lovely hotel. Quite a unique venue. The staff were so helpful. This is my second time at the hotel yesterday was for sisters Celebration of Life. We were in the marque which was beautifully laid out, the food was extremely good and the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely room which was very clean and we had a superb view of the gardens. Highly recommended."

"I would like to ask for a full refund really but I know I won't get one. We were left in property on our own and told to lock up when we come and go. The sheets on the beds were dirty. Bathroom dirty. Tea and coffee in the room but no milk. We left at half 4 in the morning with little or no sleep at all. Terrible place "
