Come to Asheville! Treetop Mountain Views In Downtown AVL - FP, Dog Friendly!

Lucerne Chalet is one of our more spacious downtown Asheville chalets. It has two bedrooms, and one and a half bathrooms, and is conveniently located just FIVE minutes to eclectic downtown Asheville, the South Slope, the River Arts District, the Blue Ridge Parkway, New Belgium Brewery, the Biltmore Estate, and much more.

Nestled in the treetops, you can gaze at the mountains from the gated porch and stroll through the quiet neighborhood with your dog. Cozy up to the gas fireplace in the living room.ā€‹

NOTES
This property is 1.3 miles from the heart of downtown but we would recommend transportation since it's not walker-friendly.

No grill at the house.

ALL mountain roads can be steep and dark at times. They may be daunting to an inexperienced mountain driver. The Lucerne Chalet is located in a quiet mountain subdivision on a circular one-lane road. Although it's a short road with street lights, it is tight, steep, and curvy. Please try to plan your arrival during the daytime if you are intimidated by mountain roads.

No smoking, vaping, or candles.

Must be at least 25 years old to reserve this property.

DOG RULES
A dog fee applies for ONE dog, plus all applicable taxes. Maximum of ONE dog with prior approval. Dogs under 50 lbs. The size and breed of your dog are needed to register them. Please note that you are bringing your dog when making your reservation.

1. No puppies - Dog must be at least ONE YEAR OLD
2. No attack or aggressive breeds of dogs are allowed
3. Must have all shots and flea treatments that are up to date
4. Must always be on a leash and under the control of the owner
5. Must NOT sleep on beds, couches, or chairs
6. You must clean up after your dog and do not flush poop down the toilet
7. A dog fee will be charged for the extra cleaning required
8. Sorry no cats

A little glitch with the entry codeā€¦ didnā€™t receive any notice of how to avoid getting locked out if you didnā€™t set the keypad yk unlock. Other than that our stay was just fine. Nice chalet with nice views of the sunrise coming over the mountains in the morning. Good job!

We thoroughly enjoyed this place! It is located on a mountain around other chalets, and it feels woodsy, yet, everything in Asheville is minutes away. I was involved in a conference at the downtown Embassy Suites and was there every morning in 10 minutes or less. Likewise the party places around Asheville were all minutes away. The house is well-equipped and the manager was readily accessible. Great place!

Just really hard to get to at night, no lights and it was really precarious. Only draw back. Property and house were great and property manager was very helpful when I was in distress.

This house was cozy and comfortable. Great for our family of four. Convenient to downtown. Though if you have a big truck, bike rack and 4 bikes the driveway/neighborhood is a little difficult to navigate (doable but difficult). :)

This is a wonderful place to stay. I've stayed in a lot of rentals and this one is very well-thought out and mindful. If I had a need (a certain kind of pot, an extra towel, a blanket...) I just had to look around to find it. You can tell the owners care about their guests. We enjoyed our stay so much and we're grateful for all the care that went into the place.

No surprises. The property was as described. Close to town, yet a true mountain experience. Very quite, serene, and private. Access by road to the property was not an issue. My son's Kia Soul, and my rear wheel drive Lexus, made it up and down the mountain with ease. The unit was spotless, with comfortable beds, and a modern kitchen. Large porch was nice for those picture perfect mornings. Would not hesitate to stay again.

This house was perfect for our weekend getaway to Asheville. We loved that it was so close to town yet felt like you were up in the mountains. It was easy to get to downtown and also wasnā€™t far to get on the parkway and hike. The description of the house and how to get to it was accurate. It had everything we needed and we will come back again.

A great stay in a clean and charming little chalet tucked into the side of a mtn in town. Surrounded by gorgeous trees and other little chalets. It is not an easy drive up the winding roads so go slow and be smart. But itā€™s worth the effort. Stocked well with plenty of kitchen dishes and cooking supplies. Dish soap, paper towels, dish towels, sponges, shampoo, bath towels, extra blankets and pillows and lots of nightlights - nice touch! We enjoyed our coffee in the morning sitting in the rockers on the front porch. Ingles grocery store is nearby and downtown Asheville is very close too. Perfect location. The best part was when we left for dinner one evening and saw a mama black bear and her 5 large cubs meandering the hillside nearby. So exciting. Beds were comfortable. Would suggest mabe some better pillows in the primary bedroom. Dog bowls for our pup was a nice touch too! Thanks Ron & Darlene!

The cabin was simply furnished but had everything we needed: stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, great location. We had a little trouble finding it, but, once we got used to the narrow roads, it was easy to get in and out. Our initial problem of not being able to use the pass code to get in was immediately rectified by the manager. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Lucerne Chalet was a perfect place for our Asheville visit. It is nicely appointed and was spotless. It is centrally located providing easy access to all of AVL! We highly recommend it. We will definitely stay there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay at the Lucerne Chalet. The property is exactly as described and more! The house is located very close to all that Asheville has to offer, but is nestled in the mountainside. The house is clean and comfortable, and the kitchen included all the amenities that we needed for our stay. They even left out bowls for our dog's food and water. So thoughtful! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The house was just as described; it was very clean with upscale appliances. The only downside was that we felt we were shoehorned in. The roads were very narrow and it took us a while to figure out how to get to the house; however, this was all in the description so there were no surprises. We would definitely stay there again.

To get to the cabins you had to drive up a very steep narrow road. The place was much more difficult to get to than expected. The half bath was also much smaller than I expected. I did appreciate the cabin being stocked with coffee, dish soap, hand soap, etc. The fireplace didnā€™t work. I think it was out of propane.
