"The cabin was small but cute and very well equipped. The setting was stunning. A shaded grassy yard leads to the river, which was beautiful and had a view of the mountains. The river was swift but very shallow. Not deep enough to kayak or canoe but perfect for a beach chair with your feet in the water. "Our stay at Bala’s home was wonderful. The location right on the river is perfect for a relaxing getaway. A very close drive to the National Park and Front Royal. The home is updated nicely and amenities are well stocked, above average kitchen supplies from the typical vacation rental. Do note that there are no tvs in the bedrooms which we appreciated but some may not. Overall it was great. "

"Our family loves this place. There's a ton of room for us to spread out, an indoor pool, and lots of yard and trails to walk around. Checkin and property management is top notch. We have been coming here every year since Covid times, and they seem to be adding small improvements every time. It's always super clean. I love that it's pet friendly. "We stayed for a long weekend following Christmas - needed to get away from the city for a bit. It's a beautiful house with a great view and good location. It was just 3 of us so the space was fine -- I am not sure I would recommend it for a larger group in winter, as you'd really be on top of each other. For the other three seasons, the deck, hot-tub, and firepit would all be great ways to spread out. Would definitely love to go back sometime in the future!"

Taylor the property manager was wonderful and helped us immediately with the most random "acts of God" problems like when a groundhog chewed through something outside.
