Mountain cabin in Ljosland with ski-in access

The cabin is situated to offer panoramic views of the mountains and valley, without being visible from neighboring cabins. In the winter, you can step right out onto the ski trail, and just outside, the little ones have their own sledding hill. Large windows bring the outdoors into the living room, and the patio features a fire pit, a cozy seating area, and a dining area with a view.



Inside, the cabin is spacious and cozy, with stained wood paneling and furniture crafted by local artisans. The high ceilings and windows create a unique sense of space, where the view changes with the seasons. The kitchen features an open layout, and the armchairs by the window have become the heart of the cabin. Here, the tranquility of the mountains truly takes hold.



The cabin has four bedrooms that can accommodate ten guests, arranged so that both extended families and two separate families can each have their own privacy. The loft lounge on the second floor offers views of both the mountains and the valley, and is equipped with a TV and video game consoles. Toys are freely available in the storage room, and for those with small children, a safety gate is provided.



At Ljosland, you’ll find countless hiking trails, mountain peaks, and swimming spots. Skoræ (1,041 meters above sea level) is considered Norway’s southernmost mountain peak over 1,000 meters. Farevassbu is a perfect hike for the youngest guests, summer or winter. The river near Ljosland Fjellstove has lovely swimming spots, and Grønlitjønn has a beach and a floating dock.
