Cancela House Peace in the Countryside - Paiva Walkways Arouca

Country house set in a green area with a stream nearby, with many chestnut trees, willows ... In the stream you can see the dragonflies and the peace and quiet of the place are refreshing and inspire anyone who stops to contemplate nature.
Its symbol is the hydrangeas that greet us right at the entrance.

A place of rest, calm, harmony and tranquility, between earth and heaven.

The rental of the house is exclusive and with the use of the whole house that is organized around the patio (main house, 2 spaces and a WC in an annex, swimming pool, games and Tv area, barbecue).

The main house has 2 bedrooms (one family with a double bed and 2 singles and the other with a double bed), 1 bathroom and a toilet, a living room with 2 single sofa beds, and a rural kitchen with an equipped fireplace and another living room.
In the spacious lounge by the pool, in addition to the living area there is a game table (chess, checkers) and a children's game table with table football, snooker, ... (where adults also have fun).

In the courtyard with the pool and the barbecue we highlight the iron bed and the hammock to enjoy and rest. Outside the house, another iron bed under vines invites you to rest and contemplate! We love the outdoor beds to rest and simply listen to the stream running and the sounds of nature.
There is unlimited Wi-Fi but as a rural area the speed is not too fast, but remember, you are here to relax, not to work! ;)

The house is located in Lázaro, a small village in a valley in the north of the Municipality of Arouca, in the middle of the Route of the Water and the Stone of the Magic Mountains and the Arouca Geopark with the famous Paiva Walkways and Suspended Bridge (at just 40 minutes from the house by car), many waterfalls, breathtaking mountains and walking routes. The river Paiva is famous for its adventure sports (rafting, canyoning, riverwalking). If you want to try, let us know, we have special conditions for our guests!

Also, enjoy the proximity to the river Douro and its vineyards and taste the wonderful Port wine and green wine (Vinho Verde) in one of the many producers. You can also easily do a city tour in Porto (at only 45 minutes from the house by highway), visit the cellars, make a cruise in the river Douro and taste the delicious and surprising "francesinhas".

The village has neither coffee nor supermarkets, just a lot of peace and breathtaking scenery! Very close to the house we have the Marco dos 4 Concelhos, a point of beautiful views including the Douro River, which borders 4 municipalities: Arouca, Santa Maria da Feira, Gondomar and Castelo de Paiva and from the house you can also explore the Douro area.

For eat lovers the area is amazing with many options and hidden small restaurants in the mountains (we'll share with you the list of our favorites!) and you can taste the delicious meat breed in the area (meat Arouquesa) and the fresh vegetables directly from the producer. Arouca is also known for its sweets (it's impossible to resist...).


You'll find many river beaches in the area to have a refreshing swimming (some already with support structure).
You can also easily go to the beach of Espinho and enjoy the fresh fish in one of its typical restaurants!

The place is wonderful and with a lot to see and do in the vicinity of the house, in the entire municipality of Arouca and in the nearby Douro and Espinho area!
