NEW LISTING!! Buddy's Barn--An Oasis in the Woods

Welcome to Buddy's Barn--A brand new listing by an experienced Superhost! For the past year, we have lovingly updated this well-equipped, peaceful cabin in the woods, giving it everything you'll need for a relaxing, fun-filled vacation! Ideally located with complete privacy, beautiful view from every vantage and HOT TUB! Enjoy White Pines Lake with basketball, volleyball, tennis. Close to skiing, hiking, wine tasting, fine dining, snow parks and the spectacular Big Trees State Park.

The cabin has been stylishly updated with all-new furniture, comfy beds and linens, with two queen beds in the large downstairs bedroom and three full beds in the upstairs loft. The living room is equipped with a 55" TV and the loft and first floor bedrooms have additional TVs. The kitchen is well-equipped with a Nespresso machine, a Keurig and a traditional coffee maker, electric range, toaster, blender, microwave, new refrigerator and dishwasher, Nutribullet and everything you'll need to cook a delicious meal. There are full baths upstairs and one the main floor and a washer and dryer. Outside, you'll relax on the wrap-around deck, surrounded by dense redwoods and pines. Grill a yummy dinner on the Weber gas grill or soak in the spa after a fun-filled day of adventure and activities. The home is equipped with plenty of games and puzzles to enjoy and an Alexa blue tooth speaker to listen to your favorite songs or podcasts, catch up on the news, and much more. Relax and have fun!

Beautiful setting in the trees, under the stars. The hot tub was hot and lovely, the large windows and high ceilings made a cozy space comfortable and glorious. We loved it!

We had a lovely stay in this cabin. Clean. Kitchen well stocked. Good location. Plenty of space/beds. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub (holds 3 people), the wood burning stove with plenty of wood and kindling on site, the comfortable beds, and the Nespresso machine! It’s important for renters to know that the “game room” is not actually accessible from inside the home but through a separate entrance outside on the lower level, and it is heated only with a space heater. Turning on the string lights outside is definitely necessary if planning to use the hot tub or game room at night, otherwise it is very dark and can be he’s to see the stairs. Communication with the host was easy. Very responsive. Overall, would recommend.

Short family stay

We had a great time here. Location was ideal, house size was great for our family, and it's set up with everything that we needed. The kids enjoyed the hot tub a lot too. JoAnne is very responsive, even late at night, and helped us get settled in on the first night.

Holiday Vacation

We had an amazing time at Jo Anne’s cabin. Vrbo did not send us the instructions with the entry code, JoAnne not only did send them right when we arrived but also was always available if we needed help. The house was very clean in nice area will definitely come again

Not a rested vacation

Don’t expect to sleep well as the upper level loft and stairs are very loud as well as heater,.Cob webs fell in food . Cleanliness on the surface was ok . We brought infant and dropped binky on the floor and saw how much dirt and dust was under couch and beds. We did all the cooking in house. No garbage cans outside so plan on keeping all your trash inside.Horrible smell of sewer one day from restroom, and a burnt smell another coming from heater. Contacted host and got apology due to busy season and was offered late check out which we did not do. Cleaning fee should’ve been refunded or offered , but neither was offered for our inconvenience. We were asked to change our original Check in date, to give ample time for cleaning.

Sweet Relaxing Retreat!

My husband and I were so impressed with Buddy’s Barn! The communication with our host JoAnne was quick, kind, and informative. The cabin was very clean with a nice new refrigerator and dishwasher. The furniture was stylish and comfy/cozy. We loved the open layout of the cabin and the thoughtful touches that made the place feel like a retreat. We didn’t use the game room downstairs but it would be a great place for our kids when we come back. The hot tub was fantastic. We also really appreciated the Nespresso machine. The proximity of a GREAT grocery store (2 min drive), was a luxury we didn’t anticipate. The Buddy’s Barn binder in the entertainment center was packed full with recreation/dining tips, going above and beyond to include take out menus and hiking trail maps. The only thing that made us nervous was the dropoff that didn’t have railing (only a few feet) beside the game room entrance. As it was just us this time we didn’t need to worry about the kids falling. We absolutely adored our stay and really needed it, we’re looking forward to making more memories at Buddy’s Barn!

Cozy cabin stay!

Loved the cabin! Clean and well appointed, exactly like listing. Hosts were extremely responsive with questions. Loved having the hot tub and game room for the kids. Would definitely stay again!

Fun Family Trip

Clean and cozy with excellent communication. We enjoyed the home with fireplace, hot tub, foosball, games. Kids had a blast. The beds were very comfortable. Close to lots of things to see in a beautiful setting.

Great location in Sierra Nevada mountains

Well appointed house in a residential community. It was a great home base for trips over the mountains and to Calaveras State Park. The extras were beyond our expectations. There were condiments & plastic bags, paper and pen, in addition to the usual fully stocked home equipment. We had a great meal at a Mexican restaurant in Arnold that was open late.

Snow Trip

Adorable cabin, close to town. Plenty of space for 5 teens and 2 adults. The game room was great for entertainment and the loft was perfect to give them their own space. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to prepare meals. My husband is still talking about how comfortable the bed was in the main room. We all enjoyed our stay.

Arnold Sanctuary

My husband and I had a tranquil five night stay at this wonderful Arnold property. It is nestled amongst the trees, making it quite private and keeping it cool whilst temperatures outside were in the mid 80s. Breakfast on the deck started the day right and, after long days of hiking, we could return to plentiful hot water and soothing showers. The kitchen was well stocked, including sharp knives, making cooking a breeze. The main house has plenty of space to spread out and downstairs is a new games room which, amongst other things, includes another large TV and a sofa big enough for all. The hosts were very responsive to any queries we had. Overall our stay at Buddy's Barn was just what we needed to relax and recharge. I thoroughly recommend it.
