  • Garber Kiowa Retreat é um chalé clássico com vistas panorâmicas da floresta em um terreno de esquina nivelado. Com tetos de madeira abobadados, piso plano aberto e um deck fora da sala de estar, você não vai querer sair! Uma reforma parcial será concluída no Memorial Day com todos os novos carpetes no térreo, a cozinha recebendo bancadas em granito, lava-louças e geladeira. Todas as pias e torneiras de toda a casa estão sendo substituídas. 2 noites de estadia mínima / mínimo de 3 noites durante os períodos de férias / mínimo de 4 noites durante o Natal e Ano Novo. O piso principal é um voo acima do estacionamento ao ar livre. Aproveite o fogão a gás no inverno ou nas manhãs frescas do verão. A sala tem uma nova TV inteligente de 40 "com cabo Comcast, bons e rápidos aparelhos WIFI, VCR, CD e DVD, contas gratuitas da Amazon e Netflix, além de uma pequena biblioteca de DVD e VHS. Há também jogos de tabuleiro, quebra-cabeças e livros para os hóspedes. Há espaço para três no balcão da cozinha - aproveite o café da manhã ou um lanche rápido ali mesmo. A mesa de jantar acomoda confortavelmente oito pessoas. No piso principal, há dois quartos - cada um com uma cama queen size e o banheiro tem um chuveiro / banheira combinados. No piso principal, há também uma lavadora / secadora empilhada para uso dos hóspedes. No andar de cima há um pequeno loft com uma mesa de pebolim, sofá, cadeira para saquinhos de feijão e uma pequena unidade de videocassete sem TV ou cabo (há uma TV e um cabo muito pequeno para as crianças, portanto isso não é necessário). O quarto no andar de cima tem uma rainha e duas camas de solteiro. O banheiro do andar de cima tem uma combinação banheira / chuveiro. Desfrute de churrascos de verão ao redor da mesa de piquenique ou apenas aprecie as vistas com sua xícara de café da manhã. Há um churrasco a carvão no convés para uso dos hóspedes (os hóspedes devem trazer seu próprio carvão). Os hóspedes que reservam sete ou mais noites recebem um desconto de 5% na tarifa de aluguel noturno. Os hóspedes podem usufruir gratuitamente da piscina de verão e do centro de recreação no centro de recreação Big Trees Village. Confira o centro de recreação no Big Trees State Park, o acesso a pé fica a 0,8 km da cabine, no final do caminho de Cheyenne, e há quilômetros de estradas antigas de incêndio para caminhadas ou esquiar a uma quadra da cabine. Nice comfort cabin overall. The only miss is charcoal grill. It’s really cool, but would be nice to get gas grill for more convenience and safety.

Great Vacation Cabin

This was our second time staying at this property, and it was, again, great! We enjoy its proximity to Bear Valley Skiing. Hopefully we will return for another visit!

A nice cabin

We came to ski and this was perfectly located. We cooked in and the kitchen was well equipped. They even had a slow cooker which made dinner easy.

We had a great time. The cabin met our needs, and the grandkids loved the Foosball table. The host was very attentive and helpful.

Cozy Cabin with Access to Trees and Ski Slopes

It's a nice cabin within 35 min drive of Bear Valley Ski or Sno-park sledding options and very close to Calaveras Big Trees park. The cabin itself is well equipped for cooking and enjoying the company of others around the dining table, or the gas-burning stove (heater). A decent grocery store is only 15 min drive, so overall we found it easy and convenient.

Last minute getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was literally a last minute booking thru Vrbo. As it was last minute Dorrington Realty was able to accommodate us with last minute arrival. We truly enjoyed our stay. Really had that cabin look and feel. 4th of July weekend was very pleasant. Enough room for the whole family. Cabin had everything you needed, fully stocked. We will definitely cone back.

Needs a little maintenance

Nice cabin on a court; little traffic. When we arrived, the cabin was extremely cold. It had snowed the night before. The Nest thermostat didn’t work. The cabin is primarily heated by a gas fireplace located in the living room. We kept trying for about 20 minutes, then called the management company. The rep was very apologetic and said that the Nest thermostat had been a problem for some time; maybe needing batteries? Anyway, he was able to help us locate the “emergency” thermostat and get it hooked up. This worked fine throughout our stay. Upon arrival, we noted that the door stop behind the front door had been broken. A flood light on the deck wasn’t working. Tried to find a replacement bulb, without success. Upon trying to ensure that the bulb was appropriately tightened it was noted that the socket was probably broken. The cabin was very comfortable and met our needs. It was about a 25 minute drive to Bear Valley for our cross country skiing. The cabin is near Arnold and its restaurants a good grocery store and the Big Trees state park. The informational binder in the cabin was very helpful, but needs to be reviewed and updated. For example, the binder states the check out time is 11am. This would have been a more reasonable time and would have provided one more relaxed morning in the cabin. Other reviewers have also stated this. Didn’t want to leave. Would return!

Reviewer Comments: This was a great house and was very comfortable for our family of 4, with an extra set of grand parents joining us for a couple of days.The kitchen was well stocked and I especially appreciated the beautiful handmade mugs (maybe the owner is a potter?) I’d definitely choose to stay here again in the future!

Kitchen fairly well stocked, but be aware no foil, napkins or baggies so bring your own. I was glad I brought my own sponge since there was nothing to clean with. Master bedroom a bit odd with 3 beds in it. Loved the deck!

Good location and nice stay

We enjoyed the drive to Arnold and the stay. There are some restaurants within 15m drive, and more when we reach Bear Valley ski resort. It takes 30m to Bear Valley ski resort which is manageable. Everything is accurate to the listings. Good stay with kids.

First snow trip for 3 kids under 6

Lovely cabin, very gentle slope and perfect for our little ones who’ve never been in snow. The fire was on with relaxing music when we arrived and it was so cozy after the long drive. Beautiful views from the main level. Very cozy but still had a nice amount of space for the kids to play safely and a large table for meals. My 5 year old also really loved the color of the granite countertops! :)

Great Long Weekend Getaway!

We had a fantastic time staying at this 3 bedroom property. The description of the home matched what we read online. All amenities were in in good shape and easy to find/use. The home is well taken care of and has a great cabin vibe. We have a toddler, so the upstairs railings were a little wide spread, but we always kept an eye on him, as he wanted to be in the game area - the foosball table was tons of fun! The house's close proximity to Bear Valley Skiing was one of the main reasons we chose it, and it didn't disappoint. We definitely hope to return to this home again!

Weekend in Dorrington

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house itself is quite beautiful, although very outdated furniture and amenities. I did not mind that so much but if you’re looking for updated that may be an issue for you. Honestly, the biggest issue for us was the fact that there was no air-conditioning. When I went back and read the amenities I noticed air conditioning was not listed but of course that was not some thing I was looking for when I booked the house. It gets so hot in the summer up in the mountains I just assumed there would be air. The house pretty much stayed at 82° the entire time we were there. It went down only a couple degrees at night. This would have been bearable if there were fans in every room but there was not. There was one small broken fan in a closet downstairs and one portable fan that was working in the living room. There’s also a ceiling fan in the living room which helps only if you’re directly under it because the ceiling is so high. Leaving doors and windows open did nothing because there was no breeze whatsoever. No drapes. When the portable fan was on us,it was bearable but again there was only one. I don’t see why there wouldn’t be fans like that in every room if you knew you didn’t have air conditioning. Fans are pretty inexpensive and having fans all over the house would’ve made the trip completely different. Otherwise it’s a very beautiful and quiet area. Lots of squirrels running around and we saw a coyote and a bat. The deck is great to sit out on. I wish they had reclining chairs that you could lay back on, that would be nice and perhaps more comfortable chairs around the table. There was a nice wood table on the deck but it had cheap plastic chairs around it and one bench, neither of which were super comfortable but of course doable. It was still a very nice time. The heat made it impossible to be in the upstairs area and loft which was a bummer since my daughter was looking forward to making that area her ow

Great Place

We had a great time at the cabin. Everything was as-shown in the listing. It was clean, organized and the street it’s on is very quiet. Great place that I would stay at again.
