"The location is perfect, on beautiful grounds, nice view of the mountains, close to Turangi (where you can find restaurants) and about 30 minutes from the Tongariro National Park.
I was a little disappointed with the inside of the chalets, specially considering their prices. Decoration is rustic, but not charming.
When I saw them on the website (hotels.com) I had the impression I was booking another room, which looked better. Also, in the reservation it said "hot tub" but it turns out that...

"Everything you need, and nothing you don't. The rooms were very cosy even though it was freezing outside. This was a great little stay for our family of four. Only gripes would be the mattresses were old and tired so you could feel the springs and they bounced around a lot, and the wardrobe in the bedroom would be a lot more useful if it was replaced with shelves or a chest of drawers. Would recommend this place again though despite these things."
