Château de Villejovet is located near Ardentes, about 15 km southeast of Chateauroux. Here, in the southern part of the Loire Valley, it is surrounded by a lovely landscape of deep green pastures, bright yellow rape fields and charming vineyards. From Ardentes it is about 100 km to Tours and Blois, the two most famous and also most interesting cities in this area.



The roots of this castle go back to the 17th century. Formerly a property of the de Gaulle government and now in Danish hands, it was thoroughly modernized and transformed into an extremely exclusive vacation home during the period 1998-2001. The result is an exceptionally beautiful chateau in which all suites and bathrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art installations that meet an upscale Scandinavian standard.



Château de Villejovet is surrounded by a 6-hectare chateau park, located directly on the Indre River. The 300 hectares of land belonging to the property are perfect for horseback riding and hiking, and you also have fishing rights on the 3 km long stretch of the river. The swimming pool, which is available during the high season, can be heated on request for a fee to be paid on site. The furnishings of the 1,000-square-meter premises reflect a tasteful combination of old and new in the antique and modern Scandinavian design used. Here you will encounter creaking staircases, a hand-pulled dumbwaiter, a modern park lit by projectors, and luxurious leather furnishings. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms, and no two bedrooms are alike. This continues in the rest of the rooms: dinner can be taken either in the Provençal large kitchen or in the atmospheric wine cellar, which can accommodate 40 people. The choice is yours.



Prices are for groups of up to 20 people. For an extra charge, a maximum of 10 extra people can be booked in (payment for a minimum of 5 people). Accommodation is then in a separate building: Members of extended groups may reside in the old forge in the park. These premises have also been completely renovated and consist of a fantastic wine cellar, an eat-in kitchen with a large fireplace, 4 suites with four-poster beds, a room with 2 separate beds and 3 large bathrooms, all very neatly furnished. From the large round window of the tower room you have a magnificent view of the park, the huge bathroom with shower and bathtub emphasizes the luxurious atmosphere of the wedding suite.
