"The hotel was completely run down. The whole building smelled of mildew. The room was "clean" but everything was gross I'm the building. Clear water damage throughout the entire facility. Mold and mildew openly on the walls. There was a full hole in the window frame to the outside. The air conditioning unit was literally duct taped together."

My main concern was when I went down the stairs, the fire doors did not latch and were partially open. Upon further investigation I found that there was a mechanism on the fire door that enabled and disabled the latch based on turning a knob on the door. "I have always been very picky about my hotels, and wasn’t certain about booking The Hampton, but I am so glad I did. This was hands down the best experience I have EVER had with a kind, friendly, and helpful staff. While it’s true that this Hampton is not the newest hotel building in the area, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and it was a quiet stay.
