"A great secluded spot that we’ll definitely be returning to! It was so peaceful and well maintained. We really enjoyed having a fully functional kitchen and laundry and the bathroom was modern and a great size. Martin welcomed us on arrival farewelled us on departure and was very accommodating as well. Only suggestion is make sure you bring bug spray as the sand flies will get you otherwise. And at night it can get quite hot in summer unless you use the fan like we did in the lounge from early...

"Property is set up a 10 minute drive from Dargaville and overlooks the estuary. A very pretty outlook. The host Sarah is very responsive to messages, we unluckily had a few issues with power and bathroom issues during our stay but Sarah quickly contacted tradies keeping us informed throughout and was quickly resolved.Great that it is pet friendly, our dog loved being able to stay with us and the local beach walks and of course Poutu lighthouse. "We had a fabulous stay at David’s. I’ve never experienced such hospitality and helpfulness. There was ample breakfast items, a lovely bottle of wine for us and everything we could need. The view from the patio front deck was beautiful too. Then the icing on the cake was David’s family driving us and picking us up from Waipu Cove as I couldn’t book a taxi. Thanks so much, my mum had the best stay and won’t stop talking about it! "
