"My boyfriend and I enjoyed this property a lot. It was clean and had great amenities. I wasn’t used to the ease at which the bugs got in (this is not the owners fault, just part of being in the woods) and the stone steps from the driveway to the actual steps are not optimal, in my opinion. If someone needs a walker or has a wheelchair I do not think I would select this property for that reason alone. The steps upstairs to the loft also made us nervous (boyfriend is a bodybuilder, getting 250...

"Beautiful setting with wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces. The house is charming, renovated, updated, clean, and comfortable. Great location for a family gathering to bike, visit the battlefield or visit Shepherdstown. Hosts went above and beyond to be sure we had all we needed. Would definitely stay again if in the area. "Great location, fantastic activities - fishing, tubing on the river, hiking & family dinners. Grandkids had an excellent time. Mike is an awesome host. Our third stay at this house, says it all!"

"This property was quite wonderful. Nice and quiet. An abundance of wildlife visited while we were there. Deer with their babies chipmunks, plenty of birds. I even had a coyote run across the backyard. The property was literally 20 minutes from everywhere. A nice added touch was that there was only TV in the bedrooms. The sun room and deck were great to just sit and relax. Highly recommend booking this property if you just want to get away for a weekend wind down "

"The cabin was cozy, clean, well stocked with essientials, and additional gifts (i.e. coffee pods, personal pizzas, and breakfast scones). It was perfect! 10/10 for the accommodations! We will be stayinf again!"

"Enjoyed our stay - the gorgeous sunsets and local eggs were definite highlights. Very easy to feel like you’ve gotten away from it all, while quick drives to the Bog Shack (flavored ices), Motherland (Afro-Caribbean with many vegetarian and vegan options, too), and Cunningham Falls State Park, among many nearby options. "The house was charming and nicely decorated. Very clean and well stocked with the comforts of home in the kitchen. It worked well for our group of 5.The only thing we found uncomfortable were the dining room chairs. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. "
