"What a wonderful place!! So quiet, peaceful and comfortable! Our hosts were lovely and provided breakfast items and plenty of tea and coffee. The comfortable bed gave us good rest for our long days of sightseeing. The WiFi was extremely slow but we were able to bring up maps. It was good to be so close to Penneshaw and groceries and the ferry. Thank you for a memorable holiday experience! We highly recommend The Fig Tree BnB!"

"No kitchen in our room, had a toaster, microwave, jug, fridge but no place to wash dishes except for a very small sink in bathroom. Nice new block out curtains, bed comfy, pillows were not. No table and chairs but it did have a 2 seater couch. Only place in town that served food was the pub."

"Room and bed very comfy. Bistro had good quality and good range of food. Location is wonderful. American River is a sleepy little town and good location to see the rest of Kangaroo Island. "

"Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was large and very clean and had a great view of the ocean. Very close to the ferry, car rental company and grocery store. The staff offered suggestions on places to see kangaroos, which helped. "

The property was extremely dirty, every piece of kitchenware, cutlery, and glassware had to be washed before use. We tried contacting the property the day before our arrival to ask about food options but never received a call back. Additionally, the air conditioning didn’t work during our stay.
