"When we arrived in the dark and gloomy reception, the owner barely spoke to us and told us to sit down. His wife then came and said there were no rooms. Tired after a long trip, we were appalled. She then proceeded to say she was able to vacate a room for us, but we would have to pay another 20 USD for it because it was a deluxe room. I asked to see the room and it looked pretty much like the reserved room picture. She then said that picture was before the renovation, that she had to pay the...

"We had a great stay here. Jenny the house care taker was super friendly and made sure everything was perfect for us (she even helped us order a pizza!) she was always there to help us no matter how big or small :) The house is perfectly located only 10 mins outside of town via tuktuk which is a pleasant escape from the city and is surrounded by beautiful trees. Definitely worth a stay if you're in the area!"

"Our overall experience at The Mango was quite positive. The facilities look very nice, our room was clean, staff is friendly and helpful and we had a great dinner on our last night. The only drawback was that it was noisy. When people sit in the restaurant area having a little party, it is difficult to nót be bothered by that when you have a room towards the back of the hotel. So bring your earplugs! Still a great place for backpackers."
