"We stayed in the ski resort's off-season (July). For two nights, we paid $425 (or $213 a night for a king-sized bed)—the rate for a luxury hotel. The Lodge has easy access to the limited amenities of the small town of Angel Fire, staff is friendly, and the property is decently maintained. However, The Lodge advertises several on-site restaurants, cafes, and bars ... and a few were closed entirely, and none was open past 4pm. The Front Desk also advised us that housekeepers visited daily, but...

"Clean space. Fit our needs and the space was good for us. We enjoyed the deck and view. The location was good for us. Check in was easy and the space is dog friendly. The only issue we had was the smell of the water. It was a horrible egg/sulfur smell. My husband thinks they may need a new water heater and I think it just may be the complex water supply. Not sure, but something we are definitely not used to. We would stay again if it weren't for the water issue, but again it may be...

"We enjoyed some aspects of our stay, like being able to cook meals and the convenient location close to the Angel Fire lift. However, overall this stay was disappointing.The unit did not appear to have been properly cleaned for quite some time. There was a significant amount of dust buildup throughout the property—under the sofa, on shelves in each room, and even on top of the washing machine. We also found a dirty, dried towel left inside the washer, and the dryer filter was extremely clogged...

"We loved staying at Misty Mountain! Fresh air, cool temperatures, and scenic views. We missed having a tv in the bedroom to watch as one of us goes to sleep early and the other one stays up late. We did some great hikes and would definitely recommend this property!"
