Tell me what sounds like the better, more relaxing option: You could stay off campus at an expensive, common, yet not so exciting name hotel and pay $450++/ night, leave extra early for the game (after making several trips to pack up your car), drive to the game and fight traffic, find and pay for an expensive parking spot, park, remember where you parked, then walk/hike your way to Death Valley. After the game, hike back, try to find your car, fight with your spouse because you insisted you gave them the car keys, fight traffic back to the hotel, wait for the crowded elevator and finally get to your not so exciting room. You plop down on the bed stressed, dead tired knowing you have to shower, then talk about going out, driving back, etc..........
