Truly great B & B

We've traveled quite a bit and stayed in many B&B's in several countries and have to say that this was amongst our best overall experiences. It's rare to find such a wonderful combination of setting, lovely furnishings and truly delicious breakfast in one place, all delivered with sincere joy by the host. Susan clearly enjoys what she's doing and it comes through in all aspects of her home and hospitality. We'd go again in a heartbeat. Perhaps Winter? Mush! Ben & Jane Brown

This is by far the best place to stay in Alaska, period. Susan went out of her way to make sure that everything was perfect.

A quiet haven...

....in a busy city. I know Anchorage well, and was a little concerned when I realized how close this is to the University and the hospital complex. But down a little dead-end road there's a quiet and perfectly lovely house. Susan was gracious and accommodating, and her breakfast was great! We enjoyed her company and that of the other guests, and I only wish we would have had time to stay longer. Next time we will!

I felt like a queen.

Beautifully situated on a private, quiet lake with several decks for lounging. Elegant interior archtecture with high ceilings enhancing a sense of privacy. Host invited guests to share history and stories over gourmet-like breakfast. Rooms very comfortable. Located near the university. No airport shuttle. Taxi about $25.

Goose Lake Lodge B&B is amazing.

Our host was extremely well organized. She prepared a 5-star breakfast both mornings we were there. The home is right on the lake (only one of two private properties on the lake.) The condition of the facility is perfect: beautiful hardwood floors, furnished with welcoming leather couches, an open floor plan for socializing, yet all four rooms are large, but private. From the main living space the view of the lake is spectacular. This facility is excellent for either four separate couples, a group of four couples, or anything in between. It is conveniently located in a very nice section of Anchorage close to UAA.

Amazing! Susan is fabulous!

Thank you so much for a wonderful last night in Alaska. The ambiance was amazing, the lake was beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. I will be staying here again, and I have already recommended it to several friends.

Nice place

This B & B is a very nice place to stay in the Anchorage area. The house is nicely furnished and decorated. It is situated right in the lake with a great view of The lake and surrounding mountains. We were very comfortable and had a wonderful homemade breakfast.

Delighftul B&B

Susan, the owner of this B&B is delightful. She's nice, informative, makes good coffee, and a great, very filling breakfast. Her lodge has all of the amenities you'd ever need (except maybe Kleenex). The rooms are comfortable. The robes are plush. The wifi is fast. The coffee is strong. There's beautiful artwork throughout the house (some of which is her original paintings). And the view of the lake isn't bad either. In summer the area around the house has a number of mosquitos, but I'd stay here again any time I'm in the area.
