Quirky little cottage
Had a lovely time at the cottage and owner was very friendly and helpful.
I wouldn't say the cottage comes under the heading of "luxury" - it's more for couples with a dog or two that can roll in after a muddy hike without having to worry about staining the carpets, sofa etc.
The sofa is (still) really uncomfortable by the way but the bed was lovely and comfy and we didn't notice the traffic from the road too much. We slept really well!
There's (still) quite a few (little) things that don't work - cooker hood, light bulbs etc as is mentioned in previous reviews so the maintenance man finally needs his P45!
The exit from the driveway out on to the main road will please those who are "adrenaline junkies"!
And there really needs to be some sort of window covering in the bathroom, even if it is frosted glass.
The WiFi was really good and fast enough which is a real plus!
As it was freezing, damp weather, the cottage was unable to display it's full potential! We didn't go out the back garden but we could tell by looking out the patio doors how absolutely lovely it would be in the summer!
So, on the whole, a nice stay. We'd definitely stay again but preferably after the new maintenance man has been round!

ps we definitely wouldn't book through VRBO again, the website was absolutely dreadful, the checkout process was painful and full of errors!
