"Really good cottage only about 2 mins walk from centre of Ambleside. Had everything you need for a nice simple stay in the lakes. Great views from the front room over the hills. They’ve just had a car parking space put in which is very handy. Great communication with owner throughout. Would definitely come back."

"This was a wonderful house in a wonderful location. Almost magical-views out every window, well stocked. A virtual rabbits warren of thick walled rooms well decorated and festive for the holidays. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Loved the walking paths outside and the playground across the street. Clean and comfortable."

"Great location with amazing views over Ambleside and the hills. The balcony is a bonus in good weather. The walk into Ambleside is steep but short so you have easy access to all the town has to offer and walks into the fells without needing to drive. Use of the (small) pool and jacuzzi at Lakelands was a bonus and quiet the week we were there. House is well presented and furnished with plenty of storage, crockery/cutlery etc. The beginning of our week was very cold and even with the heating on...

"The house was excellent. The skies holiday host left a lot to be desired ! There were things broken in the property. He didn’t fix them and wanted to charge 20 pounds for an hour later check out - ! Which quite frankly when you are paying a lot for a holiday home is outrageous - especially as we knew there was no one else booked into the house. Such a shame because the house was amazing and we had a lovely time but that customer service would have made all the difference if it had been good."
