"This was a stunning end to my stay in Sri Lanka. Staff couldn’t do enough for you and general manager was around and introduced himself during breakfast. Cocktails and food was great. Breakfast was excellent. So many choices and nothing too much trouble. I can see it may be an issue in high season, but in October there was enough sunloungers at the pool and beach for everyone. "Such an incredibly beautiful property, the rooms had such beautiful Dutch old world charm. If you have the budget spurge and get the Admiral Suite. It’s huge!!!!!! I felt like a true queen with it all to myself. I also opted for the full board. As with many other I can confirm the food is outstanding. "One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at (and we travel a lot!). Definitely recommend the room with the private plunge pool (which includes your own personal butler). INCREDIBLE view to wake up to in the morning and you won't regret it! Also the restaurant is so good, we ate every single meal there and couldn't get enough of the food. They made excellent local Sri Lankan dishes with so much flavor and spa. Spa services were also excellent! We will definitely be coming back!"

"To start, what was really good: Hotel has a very good infrastructure, right on the beach, amazing swimming pool, 4 restaurants, gym, jacuzzi etc. The lobby is beatiful, very imponent. Staff at check in was very wellcoming and polite. Housekeeping does an excellent job (they clean your room twice a day, provide free water to the rooms, change towels etc). "Utsikten er nydelig. Anbefaler å få rom fra 2. Etasje med hav utsikt. God variert frokost, men litt treige til å servere. Veldig høflige og servicevennlige personale. Rommet er innbydende. Litt hard madrass. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Galle Fort Hotel. The rooms are amazing and very comfortable. The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful. We had an issue with an iron and we were absolutely taken care of by the general manager. I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in the Galle area."
