Two tall glass gables rise above the village of Altleiningen, nestled among oak and black locust trees. A modern wooden structure with light-filled rooms and panoramic views across the valley. Polished concrete, raw wood formwork, painted steel, colored glass, brushed brass, designer furniture, and antique regional paintings create an aesthetic that blends the simplicity of a mountain cabin with a lively, trendy modernity.
“Nature-inspired wellness” in the large garden with a sauna, cooling trough, sun terraces, and panoramic loungers.
APARTMENT EAST
At the heart of the apartment is an open-concept living loft with panoramic windows,
featuring a well-equipped kitchenette and, in winter, a wood-burning stove* for enthusiasts.
In front of it is a large balcony with a fantastic view over the valley.
Slightly elevated is the cozy lounge-style living room.
The spacious shower room overlooks the oak forest to the north.
Upstairs, the loft-style bedroom opens onto the valley through a large glass gable.
The second, cozy bedroom overlooks the small oak grove and sandstone cliffs.
GARDEN
Both apartments open directly onto our large garden, which we’ve designed to be casual, lively, and close to nature. In the garden, you’ll find, among other things:
A dining area in the black locust grove
A vegetable, herb, and fruit garden (heirloom varieties). Feel free to harvest.
A sauna with a panoramic view, a relaxation terrace, a cooling-off shower, and a concrete bathtub
a sunbathing lawn
a bike shed
SAUNA
In the garden beneath the house, you’ll find our small but lovely sauna that accommodates up to 4 people. The panoramic view of the valley is especially beautiful. In winter, the low-hanging sun shines all the way down to the benches. Next door, there’s a cold-water shower and a relaxation terrace to cool off. If you’d like, you’re also welcome to take a dip in the concrete bathtub (which, by the way, is sustainably filled with rainwater that we collect and store under the house).
Use of the sauna is included in the price. There’s a list posted by the sauna where guests can sign up for their sauna times in advance.
* Use of the wood-burning stove is permitted only after a safety briefing
The apartment is NOT wheelchair accessible; there are stairs inside the apartment as well as in the garden.
Pets are NOT allowed.
NON-SMOKING apartment.
Fires and candles are prohibited in the garden due to the RISK OF FOREST FIRE.
Use of the wood-burning stove is permitted only after SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS have been provided.
Due to the open floor plan, the sleeping loft is not acoustically separated from the living area. Of course, it is separated from the living area by a glass wall and curtains that block out light and provide privacy. The northern bedroom is separated from the living area by a lightweight cabinet door.
