"The hotel is situated perfectly for walking into the small town of Alpbach or for setting off on one of the many possible mountain hikes in the area. Facilities: stainless steel lined indoor/outdoor heated swimming pool with bar service. Plenty of towels available. We paid the half-board rate to get breakfast and dinner included. "Great place to stay and we had an amazing view from the room, thank you. The room was clean and very spacious. Our welcome was lovely. The staff are all amazing. The only thing thay let's this hotel down is the food, quite dated and the meat we had was quite tough. Reminded me of school dinners. We actually ended up eating at another 4 star hotel, with much better food and an extensive mixed menu. Hotel however lovely. "

"Great stay. Spa is modernized, rooms seem a bit dated. Dinner and breakfast were very good the afternoon snack can be skipped for the most part, especially since space on the terrace is very limited. Bus to go skiing leaves directly out front. "

The owners thought of all the little details that make a big difference. The food in the restaurant was delicious for breakfast as well as dinner. "The Gut Stiluppe just finished its renovation, and while the new parts look stunning, the upgrade has yet to proliferate to all parts of the place activity. Specifically, it feels the kitchen needs to really improve - morning eggs arrived at odd shapes (like scrambled eggs that weren’t scrambled before fried), and coffee with regular milk after we explained of a lactose intolerance. I think it will take a bit more time until the service gets to the level of facilities."
