Nearby Alnwick, the ducal town with its majestic castle used in Harry Potter’s Hogwarts, enchanting water gardens and cobbled streets, will delight the family. The Alnwick Gardens boasts the largest treehouse in Europe, grand cascading waterfalls and ornamental gardens. Close by is Warkworth, another popular village with its castle ruins, tea shops and galleries which can be reached on foot, approximately 2 miles. Stunning walks along the coastline on this stretch of the coast and Bamburgh with its fortress of a castle should not be missed. We really enjoyed our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very spacious and modern, yet cosy and well furnished. It also has a lovely view of the estuary out to the sea. It’s only a short stroll down through the main street to the beach. Fantastic location with a place to park.

An absolutely wonderful property situated in walking distance of Alnmouth beach/pubs/shops. The apartment was much bigger than we expected and had plenty of room for 6 people. It was very modern and clean. We hope to come back next year.

The shoreline penthouse is a beautiful flat with plenty of space to cope with adults on a family holiday. The master bedroom is huge and very restful and the kitchen was surprisingly well supplied with equipment. The two on-suites and 1 bathroom gave every bedroom their own privacy. The location was perfect for us a lovely village with lots of eateries and easy access by bike to the coast in both directions, the station and Alnwick (by car)

Fantastic, well equipped apartment located at the entrance to the village.
Fantastic, well equipped apartment located at the entrance to the village. Local shop/pubs and restaurants are a 5 minute walk. Great views of the estuary. Would stay here again if we return to Northumberland in the future.

A beautiful apartment.
A beautiful apartment. Being a family with two young adults, we really appreciated everyone having their own room and bathroom. The apartment is quietly situated yet only a few minutes stroll away from the the beach, pubs, cafes and small shop.

We had a lovely relaxing week in this wonderful apartment.
We had a lovely relaxing week in this wonderful apartment. it was very quiet and peaceful. The apartment had everything you needed and was a short stroll to the beach, shops and places to eat. We enjoyed eating out and they were all on par. The wee village spar shop is amazing and stocks everything. The people we encountered were all very friendly. Worth a drive to Amble for a visit and also Alnwick gardens. We also visited Whitehouse Farm as we had our 2 year old niece and 35 year old daughter with us and I am not sure who enjoyed it the most haha. What a great place to visit if you have children and only a 30 min drive from apartment. We hope to return one day to this apartment. Thank you for sharing with us.
