"Had a nice stay here over the weekend! The staff is very friendly and quickly accommodating to any needs. The lodge is tucked away in a quiet, but not too secluded spot, so it’s very easy to find, yet is in a safe area & away from any busy traffic. The highway is just up the road, but the road noise gets muffled a bit by the forest between - very nice! I’ll stay here again for sure if I’m in the area."
"This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area.
A couple of things to know: it is 3 story, but because of the age, there is no elevator (typical with Gold Rush era hotels). They have one...
"This is the second time we stayed here and really enjoy the stream, the patio, the area and Priya is a delight! We were here on July 4th and didn't hear one firework go off all night! What a nice escape from the Bay Area. Thank you!"
"The Holbrook is historic and quaint. Perfect for unplugging and just relaxing. A high class hotel with simplicity. Wonderful touches of detail. The staff is above the high mark. Just wonderful! Highly suggest."
"Cool little cabin! Right next to the river. Great biking near by. Close to the little town. Quiet and comfortable. Has a small kitchen which was nicely stocked. Was there during a hot weekend (95ish) and was worried about no AC, but somehow the place stayed nice and cool. Would definitely stay there again"
"We stayed in the cottage and loved it. Having a full kitchen was super convenient. Bed was comfy. If you have a large vehicle parking would be difficult and the road noise next the cottage are the only negatives. But we'll stay here again!"
