Nestled in the heart of Algoma, a stone's throw from the serene Crescent Beach and the sparkling waters of Lake Michigan, lies our enchanting home. This spacious haven is perfect for families seeking both togetherness and individual tranquility. As you approach, the charming exterior hints at the stories of relaxation and joy that await inside.

Step into our welcoming home, where each room is a chapter in a tale of comfort and adventure. The living room, with its cozy furnishings and a treasure trove of board games, is the heart of family bonding. Here, laughter and stories fill the air, creating memories that last a lifetime.

Our home boasts four generously sized bedrooms, offering ample space for up to eight guests. Two rooms feature luxurious king beds, while the other two are furnished with queen beds, ensuring everyone in the family finds their perfect spot for restful slumber. The two well-appointed bathrooms cater to both quick refreshes and leisurely soaks, adding to the comfort of your stay.

The kitchen, a culinary haven, is fully equipped for your family feasts or quick snacks. Adjacent, the separate dining area, with views of the lush garden, invites you to share meals and moments together. For those seeking a quiet retreat, our sunroom is a serene sanctuary, perfect for reading, reflection, or simply enjoying the garden views.

The versatility of our home extends to the outdoors. The front yard blooms with tranquility, offering a space where morning coffees and evening stargazing become cherished rituals. The outdoor grassy play area is a paradise for younger guests, ensuring laughter and play are always in the air.

Just a short walk away, the shores of Lake Michigan and the renowned von Stiehl Winery await your exploration. Crescent Beach, an 10-minute stroll from our doorstep, offers a perfect setting for family beach days.

Great location - walk to beach & town

The property was clean, hospitable, and convenient. We were able to easily walk to the beach, walk to town, and experience the cool temperatures of the Door County Peninsula. It was just a short drive away from the touristy sections of Door County, but we loved how Algoma was quieter with less traffic compared to Door County. We loved walking 2-3 minutes to get ice cream at the North Shore Bakery & Deli. The Algoma restaurants and shops were also easily accessible by walking. From the front windows of the house, we could see Lake Michigan and hear quiet live music from Von Steihl Winery. There were 8 chairs to easily fit around the dining room table, which made family game night a breeze each evening!

Algoma vacation

We were in Algoma for a fishing trip. We had a beautiful weekend full of fishing, sight seeing and laughter. The house was exactly as described, very clean and the location was perfect.

The house is cute as can be and in a great location! The hosts provide many small details to make your stay comfortable! The beds were very high and hard. It was great for 2 nights, but by the third night my back was a mess.

NFL Draft Weekend

We thought the property was great for the 4 couples. Nice location for multiple things. Going to GB or Door Co. etc. Or just staying in town. Algoma had some very nice fun bars/restaurants and would stay there again.

Great family stay!

We spent a long weekend here with our adult kids and their significant others. It was a great weekend full of winery tours, breweries, pizza and games! This is a great house for anyone looking to walk Algoma! Smashed on the Rocks has a great place to sit and look out.at the lake

Spacious clean accommodations

This trip started out as a couples trip to the Wet Whistle wine fest but evolved into a womenā€™s trip instead. The location is close to downtown, ground zero to a great bar and bakery but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The home had ample rooms and common areas and was very spacious and clean. The hosts did a very good job communicating with us. We would definitely stay there again and think it was a great value.

Home away from home

We enjoyed staying here for our second time now! The home is very clean and accommodated us 8 adults comfortably. Restaurants are close by for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Algoma is a lovely small fishing town that we enjoy coming to and having this wonderful place to stay is a great bonus! bonus!

End-of-Summer Vacation Getaway

Catherine and Rob are wonderful hosts. They are very responsive. The home is charming and spacious on the inside and offers nice interior amenities. The view of the lake is obscured through buildings and power lines - I would probably say it is more lake view than lakeside. The 10 minute walk to the lake/beach is enjoyable in the town of Algoma. The outside area doesnā€™t offer a place to sit and relax - there is a large grass area down from the home that you could entertain a large gathering but its location doesnā€™t make for a relaxing area. On a side note (nothing to do with the home) Algoma is more of a long weekend getaway - most things are closed Monday and Tuesday and several are closed on Wednesdayā€™s and even Sundayā€™s. There is a cute little bakery/cafe/ice cream shop down the street from the home that is wonderful.

Annual Fishing Trip

Great place to stay, my family started doing an annual fishing trip and this was perfect for us coming from all over the state. The house was beautifully furnished, very clean and well maintained. There was great communication with the hosts and everyone really enjoyed the stay. The only suggestion that I may have is having one of the bedrooms converted to a couple of twin beds. But that is just a suggestion and we are going to be staying again for our trip next year! Thank you again Rob and Cathy for the wonderful experience.

Or son got married over the weekend and we booked this home because it had everything we needed and enough room for our family to stay together. The property was very well maintained and clean. The beds were comfortable, and I loved the shower! The house is well stocked . The he owners are friendly and our communication with them always had a prompt response. I would definitely come back to this place.

Absolutely Perfect!!

The hosts, Cathy and Rob, are quick to respond, and very accommodating, although we really had no issues to resolve! The home was beautifully furnished, very clean, and very well stocked with everything you would need. My sisters and I brought our 90 year old mom back to her hometown for 3 days. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again if we get the opportunity to return to Algoma! Thank you Cathy and Rob! Nan p.

Girlfriends Lakeside retreat

Our group of friends stayed at this cozy Lakeside retreat. It was wonderful having four bedrooms, so each person got their own room. Accommodations were tidy upon arrival with ample parking for three cars. There was plenty of linen, blankets, and towels. The home was nicely decorated and a pleasant environment. It was a great getaway to a small town where we spent most of the day, snacking and enjoying each otherā€™s company. There may have been a glass of wine or two shared too. We went on a walk into town and visited a few boutiques. Then we had lunch at a wonderful place with white linen tablecloths. We had a wonderful time making memories of our deep friendship. Thank you Cathy and Rob!
