Overlooking Paleros Bay, Mara is located near the sea, a short stroll from tranquil Pogonia Beach in an area surrounded by olive groves. The turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea perfectly complement the stunning colors of the Acarnanian Mountains beyond.



The Space:

This 2-bedroom ground level property is an ideal home away from home, offering a peaceful retreat for families. The stylish master bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with a rain shower, stone washbasin and W.C. The second bedroom is equipped with a rain shower and stone washbasin. Large French doors open from both bedrooms onto a deck and spacious outdoor area.

The living area boasts a modern and comfortable sofa overlooking the pool, a section of the sea and mountains, allowing you to immerse yourself in the stunning surroundings or simply unwind with a book.

The fully equipped kitchen provides all necessities for a vacation stay with a teak dining table and 4 chairs for breakfasts or indoor dining. Additionally, the property includes a guest W.C.

Mara features a beautiful exceptionally spacious outdoor space, perfect for summer relaxation. A bamboo pergola-covered sitting area with sink and cupboards creates an al fresco dining experience, allowing you to savor unique Greek cuisine with a glass of chilled ouzo while watching the sunset.

To cool down, on the decking is a spacious 7 x 3,5m private salt water pool surrounded by 4 luxury teak sun loungers.

The property’s garden is adorned with Oleanders and traditional Greek plants and herbs, enhancing the overall Mediterranean ambiance.

The Neighborhood:

Pogonia, a picturesque village located on the west coast of mainland Greece, is situated in a breathtaking backdrop of beautiful and serene vistas and the crystal clear waters of the Ionian sea. Olive trees, vineyards and pine trees extend down to sandy beaches. Local tavernas,cafe and a bakery are within walking distance. The villa offers an excellent base to be able to explore the neighbouring islands of Lefkada (which boasts some of the top 10 beaches in Europe), Meganissi, Kalamos, Kastos, Atokos and the famous Scorpios island. We thoroughly recommend our rib boat day cruise around the many Ionian Islands as it offers an amazing insight to the many beauties of Greece that are often overlooked. We can book this for you at any time.

4km around the bay you will come along the busy town of Paleros which is a lively alternative to Pogonia. There are tavernas, shops and our own Paleros Yacht club that provides all day entertainment and offers sun loungers and umbrellas to relax under whilst enjoying a drink from the large variety of cocktails that they offer or to dine on the delicious food chosen from an extremely modern and tasty menu.



Getting Around:

Taxis are available for hire but a car is recommended if the area is to be explored.
