"Our stay was a birthday celebration for our 16 year old son and his best friend. Spent the afternoon at Round 1 and the movies at Park Place Mall, then headed to the hotel. The boys worked out at the hotel gym, swam and then settled in for the evening. The suite was great- spacious, clean, quiet. The boys had the bedroom and my husband slept on the sofa bed (pretty uncomfortable). Great breakfast in the morning! A total success! We’ll be back!"

"Very friendly and genuine staff, working hard. I was pleasantly surprised at the common areas and restaurant, almost like a full service restaurant, which I was not expecting. This is a tiny mountain top area, not really even a town, and the lodge seems to be presenting the best possible situation, for the limitations of the environment, and the recent difficult history of fires nearby. I would happily enjoy another stay!"

Only comment was we visited during the hottest time and there is no a/c in the public space just overhead fans. Can't change that in a historic home though. "This place was peaceful. The rooms are very spacious. Beds are comfortable and the towels are soft and fluffy. The pool is a little small and the room didn't have a microwave. The onsite restaurant food was great."
