Villa Eden is a large home for people who want to enjoy absolute privacy and quality times for their unforgettable vacations in Sunny Crete. Fully equipped, large spaces, open veranda/terraces, swimming pool, playground, gardens and fields of olive trees and close to most of the world-famous beaches of South Rethymno. Villa Eden is a lovely, ground floor, country house. It has a large open space in which our fully equipped Kitchen coexists harmoniously with the living room and the indoor fireplace in the corner adds the traditional typical Cretan warmth of hospitality! In addition, it has a total of three (3) bedrooms and two (2) bathrooms.

Concerning the outdoors, you have a private large space which is surrounded by greenery and fields of Olive trees. It features a large terrace covered with non-slip tiles, in which there is an outdoors dining room and living room. There is also a barbecue, ready and equipped for your unique culinary delights.

On the left side of the wonderful veranda and terrace there is our swimming pool ready to offer coolness and enjoyment under the hot summer Sun of Crete. Around the pool there is space covered with a special material, which gives the feeling of lawn, safe for endless hours of fun for children of all ages!

• The Kitchen
The kitchen of the house is fully equipped with all necessary appliances such as stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine and small appliances (coffee maker, toaster, microwave, etc.) new and ready for use to facilitate your stay.

• Bedrooms
Villa Eden has three bedrooms which are located on both sides of the corridor. The largest of the three bedrooms has a double bed, large fitted wardrobe, two bedside tables with very elegant lamps and a dressing table with mirror. Moreover, it has a separate, fully renovated and very bright bathroom with shower. Τhe window lets plenty of sunlight in the room and has great views of the pool and garden.

Just opposite of the master bedroom, there is a slightly smaller one, which has two semi-double beds, a large closet and a large window that lets the room fill by the quietness and freshness of the garden.

Next to it, is the smallest of the three bedrooms where there is a comfortable semi-double bed with bedside table and outdoor wardrobe.

Two out of three bedrooms have FLAT TVs. All bedrooms have air-condition!

NEIGHBORHOOD
The village of Agios Ioannis is a historic village of Agios Vasileios region. It is a rural area, very quiet, ideal for family holidays, quiet and surrounded by greenery and the fresh air of Crete. In the village there is a large forest with rich flora and fauna, perfect for walking and exploring the various hike paths. Within walking distance there is the traditional tavern-cafe-mini market of Liomanoli, famous for its amazing traditional food and the mythical Cretan hospitality.

Notable are the many options a visitor has to explore and see various places of great archaeological, historic and religious interest such as the Monastery of Preveli (14 km), the Arkadi monastery (44 km), the Ancient Eleftherna with its unique museum exhibits (47 km), Frangokastelo (29 km) and much more.

One of the main advantages of the house is the easy access to some of the most famous beaches of south Rethymno. More specifically, the Plakias beach (8 km) Amoudi (11 km), Schinaria (14 km), the beach of Preveli (18 km), Agios Pavlos (42 km), Rodakino (16 km), Damnoni (10 km), Korakas (17 km), Triopetra (34 km) and many more.

Of course, on all the beaches there is a variety of restaurants with great food and lots of entertainment options. For lovers of nature, they can easily visit the uniquely beautiful gorges of the region such as Kotsifos (2-3 km) and Kourtaliotis (12 km).

On Plakias and the beautiful and traditional village of Spili (16 km), there are banks, medical centers, pharmacies, supermarkets, cafes, clubs, restaurants and shops that offer many Cretan traditional products. For a larger and richer market, the visitor can visit in just half an hour the town of Rethymno (25 km).

• The area of Agios Ioannis
The village of Agios Ioannis is found just after 'Agkouseliana', and just over 30 kilometers from Rethymnon, at an altitude of 460 meters, before the Kotsifou canyon.

The village of Agios Ioannis (St. John) got his name because according to tradition, a small wooden icon of St. John the Theologian was found at the area.

The magnificent nearby to our villa cypress forest of St. John village, with an area of ​approximately 200 acres, enchants all visitors with its rich flora and fauna and endemic species and gorgeous hiking routes! In the mountainous villages, there are now many organic vineyards, whose products have recently begun shipping to markets all over Greece and beyond!

Every year, the first fortnight of September, the Saint John festivities are revived in the nearby settlement of Kali Sykia, where the feast of 'raki' (tsikoudia) takes place. If you are in the region during these days don't miss this experience. You can watch the entire traditional centuries-old​ distillation process!

From the bus station there is the bus of the route of Rethymnon - Rodakino region that also goes towards Sfakia. You can take this bus and reach our place. A car is though more than recommended if you want to reach the nearby world famous locations. Please ask. We can send you discount vouchers for reliable car rentals.
