It's a shame they don't do evening meals but there are plenty of options in Barmouth centre just 10 minutes walk away though you will have an uphill walk back. Really enjoyed my stay. "

"Our time in Bala was brilliant and the White Lion Royal Hotel was wonderful. Chris greeted us and immediately helped us with a flat tire situation. Jenene served us two delicious meals from their cafe. This 600 year old historic hotel is cared for well. Our bathroom was updated and the bed was very comfortable. Five stars all around! "

I booked a pay on arrival at the hotel but 3 days beforehand the fee was taken from my bank account to pay a hotel with the same name, but 250 miles away. "Its very peacefull and quite and clean. Its self catering and shops are bit far so best take extra food and grocery. We stayed in bunglow and they got nice clean kitchen with all the cooking facilities. Rooms are nice but mattress are bit old.View from bunglows are lovely,I ll try to share image. Staff are friendly. All in all 5 stars. Price reflects. "

"The room was comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities, there was also draws and hangers for your clothes, there was parking but i didnt use it cause i came by train the station was near to the hotel 2 mins walk, the breakfast (which i didnt have) seemed ok there was cereals, pan au chocolate, i dont know if there was a cooked breakfast because i needed to catch an early train which was before breakfast started but the lady left me out some pastries for me take which was a nice gesture.
