The House of Yesterday. A house that speaks for itself... Hello! I am La Casa del Ayer. A village house with hundreds of years rehabilitated and set up to bring out the best of me. My stone walls and wooden beams make me special. I also hide several secrets... A medieval fretwork 8 meters below the ground that will leave you with your mouth open. Here you lose track of time and find yourself in a total state of tranquility.

In La Casa del Ayer, time stands still... One of those village houses, at least 400 years old, completely renovated. It has been a very special project for me to preserve its stone walls, its beams, its essence. The house is located in the historic center of Ábalos, a very special medieval village. It has a coat of arms with two keys on its stone façade. And under the house hides its biggest secret, a subway cave about 8 meters deep in stone... When you start going down the stairs you are amazed.... The sensation cannot be explained with words, the best thing to do is to feel it.

The house is located in front of La Casa de La Villa de Ábalos, 50 meters from the Church of San Esteban Protomártir, declared a national monument. In Ábalos the vineyards merge with the mountains. You can make many hiking trails without leaving the village. The ascent to the ruins of the hermitage of La Rosa is good proof of this. Walk among the vineyards and visit Los Guardaviñas, stone constructions found in the vineyards of La Rioja Alta, which in ancient times were used to shelter from inclement weather. The hermitage of San Félix and its necropolis, the viewpoint, the wine presses, where grapes used to be trodden... This and much more can be found if you visit Ábalos.
